About two weeks ago my daughter told me about your Great Taste No Pain plan. She had been told by her doctor that she should take Prevacid and felt quite ill from taking it. Her husband researched the side effects and they called me. I had been taking that medication and they were worried about what they had read. Trying to find a solution they came across your website.

I am 63 years old woman, married with three married daughters and five wonderful grandchildren. I am (was) basically a shut-in as going out is simply too risky. My only outings are (were) to my children or to church, on a good Sunday!

I was in my late twenties when I started having difficulties with my intestines. The doctor felt that an infected uterus might be the cause and I had a hysterectomy. The problem did not go away and more issues began. I was told I had loose bowel syndrome. It was suggested that I avoid wheat and milk. A year or so later, I was told I had a hernia. I was told to avoid seeds. Then I became more and more sick. It took four years for them to diagnose fibromyalgia. My own family doctor did not believe in FM and basically made me feel like a hypochondriac. I had great blood work, my blood pressure was great, no cholesterol so why was I complaining!!!!!! So he prescribed Motrin to help cope with the pain of fibromyalgia. I had bladder problems, digestive problems and all was always blamed on F.M. Then the problems with acid began and, twenty-five years ago, I started taking Losec. It was then that my doctor mentioned the danger of Motrin (Ibuprofen) on the stomach. I immediately stopped taking them and decided to cope with my pain through prayers and medication. For the next ten to fifteen years, I took Losec. The bladder problems became so bad that my doctor sent me to a urologist who diagnosed Interstitial Cystitis and told me to avoid fresh fruits and raw vegetables.

The acid was no longer being controlled by the Losec so, a few years ago, I was switched to a few others but, none seem to help. I was sent to see a G.I. who prescribed Prevacid and told me I had GERD. I must say it controlled the acid but once I started taking them, I was catching every cold or bug around me. My doctor suggested that I needed more sleep and because I was up 10 to 12 times a night, to go to the bathroom, she prescribed Desmopressin. Nothing seems to help. I caught the H1N1 flu in September and I was sick until early January.

That was my state, two weeks ago, when I decided to give your Great Taste No Pain plan. Within hours I felt better. After two days, I took a long walk, with my husband, which I had not done in months. I had energy. I quit taking the Prevacid and the Domperidone after reducing it to one every 2 days and then 3 days and have not taken any in the past four days. I can not believe the difference in my life. Last night I actually slept through the night without having to go to the bathroom. I was out for four hours yesterday without searching for a public washroom. I can stand wearing a bra and inches have gone around my stomach. I have lost four pounds yet I am no hungry. I am enjoying the fruits so much, as well as, whole wheat. All of me feels better. I have taken long walks every two days since I started your plan and there's not much to my legs.

I thank my daughter and son-in-law for answering my prayers, but most of all, I thank you for your plan. This plan, along with the wallet size card, and the recipe book are my favorite reading material for now!

I love the "Great Taste No Pain" Plan. Instead of asking my doctor of a higher dosage of Nexium, I am off the drug completely. Can't tell you how wonderful it is to not have acid reflex. I have had surgery on 5 hernias and have another Hiatal Hernia so I really appreciate not having problems anymore.

What I like most about your plan is your recipes. They use common ingredients and taste wonderful. My husband even enjoys them. We have never eaten so many fruits and vegetables.

I have been food combining since December 1st and have lost 20 pounds. Love having more energy.

Thank you for your wonderful plan.

Hi Sherry,

A few weeks ago, I managed to make it through, what I thought might be, my last gall bladder attack. Last, not because I wasn't going to have any more of them, but because I thought I'd die that night. I was almost okay with that. Then, through prayer, I was led to your website. It's the first time in all my research that I found something that addressed, in one place, every symptom and experience I've had--and that offered a real, doable solution. Finally!

I've been suffering for the past six years with everything you, and others in their testimonials on your site and in your newsletters mention. The gas-pain and nausea I knew so well were excruciating and debilitating. The one thing I didn't suffer from regularly, however, was the acid reflux problem; this only occurred with me a few times...nothing serious.

I visited many doctors, as you can imagine, seeking answers for my pain and discomfort, and, ironically, it was for this, that I received prescriptions. No matter what I described, or explained or pointed to, I was ultimately sent on my way with a prescription for an acid blocker or suppressant, such as Ranitidine or Panteloc.

We knew better than to fill them, but out of sheer curiosity my husband and I enquired of a pharmacist, as to the cost of the latter...Unbelievable! At times I was even given freebies, from Periet to Nexium and beyond. Free drugs (I didn't use) for something I didn't even have!

Before all the drug offers, I had an unforgettable experience with a nearly-retired, well-respected doctor at our local clinic. He actually dismissed me from his office after telling me, "...you're cramping, just cramping!" and recommended I just get a physical some time in the future. You might imagine the look on my face.

By the way, all the doctors told me I looked too well...praise God :), so, how could I be so sick? None of them even mentioned IBS, and said my gall bladder was fine. If only they knew...

I won't even mention all the money we spent at the Naturopath. Then, when the Gastroenterologist told me, in answer to my nausea, that he could remove my Ileocecal valve, because they "...remove those all the time" I cancelled my appointment for a scope.

My valve was weak, and I knew toxins were flushing backwards into my small intestines, but I knew I needed it. How come I knew all that and a specialist couldn't tell me why? Anyway, I've just been dealing with it...do all I could when I felt well. The only time I felt really good was when I didn't eat at all. My husband and I would fast for days, sometimes.

I thought I had cancer in every organ within my abdominal cavity; we travelled five hours from our home to visit a doctor I knew of from 27 years ago. He told me I didn't have the look of someone with cancer, and he talked of food intolerances. I remember this from the first time I saw him, but I was young, undisciplined, and was left on my own to figure it out. He, incidentally, followed a man you mentioned, Dr. Abram Hoffer.

This confirmed for me, that I was definitely on the right track with your system...one I should have had back in 1983. So, I believe my IBS started a long time ago, but it fully reared its ugliness in my 40's. I'm 52 now. And, thanks to your suffering :) and your due diligence in figuring out this food-thing, I believe I'm on my way to feeling as good as the medical professionals said I looked :)

I already have more consistent energy this past week since following your system. I haven't been fearful of waking in the night with horrendous "cramping." I'm even brave enough to play a little with your recipes, but, thanks to you, and with my new understanding, I at least know what's happening to me, if things go sideways for a bit. I can now nip-it-in-the-bud...be pro-active, and have the confidence, that as time goes on, so will I...Lord willing :)

Keep your informative letters coming!

Yours, sincerely

Erin

Although I have only been on this diet 9 days, I've lost 5 pounds - hooray. I must say that relief came right after the very first meal. No pain, no reflux - just normalcy. At first I thought that I wouldn't be able to eat carbs, but when I found out that I could, I was sold on this way of eating.

I would also like to tell you that I gave a dinner party this past weekend and I was even able to eat and enjoy a piece of chocolate cake that one of my guests brought.

Thanks for a great way to Eat and Enjoy Life.

Hi Sherry,

I have suffered from GERD for 10 years. Underwent the usual diagnostic tests and followed my GI physicians orders by taking Nexium and sleeping with my head elevated 30 degrees each night. Meanwhile my GI symptoms weren't completely resolved and I would suffer from severe bouts of bad breath off and on for years along with epigastric flare-ups. 3 weeks ago my GERD flared up to the point I couldn't sleep and I was in agonizing pain. Two trips to ER and further tests confirmed severe epigastric inflammation and I was given a new prescription for more drugs.

Not satisfied I started doing online research and stumbled across your website. Within 24 hours of changing my approach to eating food combinations and following your Great Taste No Pain plan I noticed immediate improvement to my GERD symptoms. Within 48 hours I was actually pain free! There is no doubt this approach to changing how we eat food combinations does work!

Thanks so much for sharing your research!

Hi Sherry,

I, too, have suffered from gastrointestinal distress as long as I can remember. I have taken antacids, many more that I should have some days, just to try and get some relief and to be able to try to have a normal life.

It had gotten worse over the last year or so and every time I spoke with my doctor, was told that it was normal and just a part of growing older. I knew that this was not normal. I happened to be on the internet searching on acid reflux one morning, and I came upon your website. The more I read, the more I became interested in knowing more about food combinations and why certain things did not work together well in trying to digest them. I ordered your plan and received it along with the cookbook and it came about a few days ago.

I started trying your suggestions right away and found myself having almost instant improvement. I have been eating this way for about five days now and cannot tell you how much better I feel. This is so GREAT! Your plan has become my "health bible". I look forward to getting up in the morning and having a new day to enjoy.

Thanks for telling your story and helping me learn how to take charge of my own health, getting relief without any pills or special foods that cost a fortune to maintain. This is a real blessing to me.

Sincerely,

Chestain G.

Hi Sherry,

I have your full Great Taste No Pain plan. I am learning to mix combinations together to learn about them and experience new combinations different than past practices. I have been able to overcome my discovery of low acid conditions by acid pills so far. I have also overcome acid reflux conditions since selecting the order to eat foods. I have lost 3 lbs in first three days. So progress is being made.

I certainly feel better. I have had a knee problem for 20 plus years, it is now diagnosed as a rare form of cancer, slow growing. It causes swelling and inflammation of the end of the femur where it goes into the knee. My immediate goal is to use the system and the probiotics and omega 3 to get the PH balance right (very acid now) and get rid of the inflammation so should reduce the knee issue. Anytime I have had an infection anywhere the past 20 yrs it has gone to the knee, could not discover the cause. Now with the cancer or inflammation causing a problem I want to get free of it without radiation or chemo. Doctor suggestion is to replace the knee; this is not necessary for use yet and still would not address underlying cancer issue that is up to diet.

Thanks for your wonderful program and products.

Dear Sherry,

I have been suffering with gastric problems for at least 15 years - everything from acid reflux to IBS. I've taken the usual drugs, had my esophagus stretched, etc. The last year or so has been the worst with all the pain and bloating. I tried your Great Taste No Pain plan last week, and it was just like you said - instant results. But I wasn't convinced. Surely it was I coincidence, I said to myself. So I ate the old way for one day - just one - and the pain and bloating was back full-force and I had to swallow Tums by bedtime.

Thank you for your research and writings that have helped so many of us.

Hi Sherry,

I purchased your Great Taste No Pain plan last year and even though I haven't followed it to true form I did find that it helped me with the gas and heartburn/acid reflux watching the combination of foods. Also have hiatal hernia/GERD. I don't eat Prilosec OTC or Tums like I used to! Thanks!

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and plan to follow your plan more closely. I also have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. The doctor put me on 1800 calorie diet, oral medication and told me to lose weight. Being a new diabetic I found out from a friend whose son is a diabetic that I need to watch my carb intake... I wonder why the doctor never said that to me?

I enjoy your emails so much and take in the fact that you have helped me in my health with regard to heartburn/GERD but will jump on the bandwagon to work harder to help myself be rid of the meds I am taking. My cousin forwarded your website to me a year a go and I am so glad she did!

Dear Sherry,

I’ve had colon cancer twice, and have only about a foot of colon left. I've been on your Great Taste No Pain plan for over two weeks now and have a noticeable difference in what is left of my colon. It seems to have clamed that roaring tiger down, and don't have that acid reflux burning in my throat.

Thank you for caring,

Becky
