I began having trouble with my stomach 20 years ago and of course the first things the Doctors prescribed were Tagamet/Gaviscon etc. These worked for a bit and I did not have to take them all the time, but any amount of stress or strain always kicked things off again and I would be back on the tablets. For the next 13 years it was a bit of a downhill slide with more regular intake of tagamet, gaviscon etc plus over the counter remedies such as 'Tums' and other indigestion tablets.
Last year I was suffering very badly with the side effects of the tablets - sore joints, bleeding piles, dizziness and tingling fingers etc, plus the reflux was getting worse. I went 'cold turkey' and tried eating sensibly and not drinking and I did manage to get off the tablets for 6 months, but in February this year I had what felt like a mini heart attack, with palpitations, numbness and all the signs of heart disease. The doctor did all the tests and I was told my heart was ok (BIG relief!), but that I would have to go back on the PPI's as it was my reflux causing the problem.
I was miserable about it and reluctantly starting taking 40g of Nexium daily......they didn't work. So then it was 30g of Lanzoprazole. The doctors told me I would probably have to take them for the rest of my life and that some people just had an acid problem. The tablets worked for a week or two and then all the previous problems started again. I was told to take laxatives etc (more pills to cure the illnesses caused by the pills!!). I carried on like this until 2 weeks ago, when I realized that not only did I have piles which were bleeding, causing agony whenever I went to the loo, but I also had joints which were cracking whenever I moved (I have read about the horrific statistics on bone breakages for those who have taken these meds for longer than 5 years and are over 50!), and on top of all that, the reflux was worse than ever and the chest pains and palpitations were back with a vengeance.
I went on the internet in a last ditch attempt to find some sort of remedy which was natural and would address the problem rather than just masking the symptoms. I have tried lots of things over the last 10 years to no avail and spent a fortune on 'cures' which did not work, so I was very skeptical when I read about your plan, but I was in such pain and discomfort that I decided to give it a go.
I stopped taking my tablets as soon as I began the course as I was suffering so badly and I wanted to see if there was an immediate benefit from the eating plan when not taking the medications.
All I can say is that I am completely taken aback at how quickly the eating plan helped me. I have been on your Great Taste No Pain plan now for 6 days and I have had little or no chest pain for the last 5 of those!! The bleeding and piles disappeared after the 2nd day as I knew they would, as they are definitely caused by the PPI's. My joints are starting to feel more comfortable. I am amazed at how simple the solution seems to be. Even when I came off my tablets last year it took me about a month before I was comfortable, so the quick turnaround in my health is very impressive.
Thank you and well done Sherry Brescia. Your plan is most definitely worth the money - and will pay for itself very quickly simply because I will not be buying any more medications!

Approximately 10-years ago, I served as a "hair model" for my daughter who was being tested during her cosmetology class. Right in the middle of the test, warm water began coming up in my mouth; I had no other choice but to find a place to spit, and the shampoo sink was the closet place. This acid reflux began happening more often, even choking me at night.
I put up with it several years until I could not take it any more. I finally went to the doctor, and was prescribed the purple capsule "Nexium", and have taken it daily for three years. A few months ago, I began experiencing stomach bloating, heavy burping, horrible gas, anal bleeding and roaring in my stomach. My husband constantly commented to me about how big my stomach was getting. I could not help it, and didn't know what to do. The bloating in my stomach was so bad until I thought that I may have a tumor.
Out of desperation, I started searching on the internet trying to find some relief. Thank God, I found your website! Using your program, I began to feel a difference in only one day. The bloating, gas, burping, and swelling have stopped! I ordered your program (best money that I've ever spent) and I am putting it into action.
Before I started on this wonderful program, the middle section of my "back" stayed so sore that I could not hold my shoulders up. The soreness has left! Apparently, the Nexium, and the acid was affecting my stomach and my back. A miracle has taken place in my body.

When I first started experiencing problems, I thought it was just a simple case of lactose intolerance, but year after year I would have "flare-ups" that seemed to be unexplained. Since they eventually subsided I just dismissed them.
Then about 4 years ago I started getting a feeling of having a lump in the back of my throat all the time with the occasional heartburn. I went in to have my doctor do an upper GI scan to look for hernias, GERD, and Acid Reflux. After the scan the doctor said it had to be acid reflux, so I was put on Nexium...then when I said that didn't work my doctor tried another proton pump inhibitor. The only thing those drugs did was shut down my digestive system to the point that I wasn't absorbing any nutrients and I became severely malnourished. After loosing 20lbs in 4 months I finally went to the doctor and begged for help. His only recommendation to get rid of the acid reflux without drugs was to do surgery. On March 4, 2005, I had a procedure called Laparoscopic Nissen Fundoplication done, which basically wrapped the top 10% of my stomach around my esophagus so acid could not come up.
Several months went by, and the surgery seemed to be a success. Then about 1 year after the surgery I began to have burning in my esophagus again...the same burning that I had before. This should not have been possible as there is no way for acid to get to my esophagus after the surgery. After another upper GI scope my doctor dismissed it as stress.
These "stress flare-ups" continued to happen over the next couple of years...since the doctor dismissed them, I did as well.
About 4-6 months ago I started experiencing extreme burning in the esophagus & stomach as well as diarrhea. I just couldn't bare the everyday pain anymore so I went in for another upper and lower GI scan on November 14th. This time the doctor found an ulcer in my esophagus & one in my colon. I will find out this Friday what the results are of all the scan samples.
At this point the doctor (a different doctor than before) is stating that he thinks this in Crohn's disease. That actually makes sense to me since I've been having all these unexplained flare-ups over the years. I truly hope that the diagnosis is Crohn's and not anything worse.
All that being said, on Friday, November 14th, I found your website and have tried your Great Taste No Pain plan. My stomach and bowels are "so far so good"! I'm sure as soon as I get the ulcer healed, my esophagus will follow.

I've been on your plan for 2 weeks and have some positive results I only just started to realize. The reason that we only very recently applied your full plan into our lives is because of the difficulty to get ingredients for some of your recipes due to some differences between what you call certain ingredients in the US and what it is called in South Africa.
During August 2008, a problem with my Esophageal Sphincter (LES) was identified. I found out that it was not functioning as it should (or at all). I never experienced heartburn and could not understand that I suffered from reflux. The only symptoms were a constant drip in my throat caused by my sinus. My GP prescribed Nexium 40mg and was taking it since that time up until about a week back on a daily basis. I have stopped now for a week and could not do that before. I feel much better and lost about 4.5 kg of weight. Must say from time to time I still experience reflux but the chest pains have subsided.

I consider finding your web site a true miracle! After I have been diagnosed with GERD -Acid Reflux, I was given Aciphex and took it for 6 months. I had bad side affects plus it was very expensive as my insurance did not cover it. I tried different versions of the drug family - horrible side effects followed. I turned for help to over the counter goodies i.e. Mylanta and Tums, only to get worse case of acid from them!
One day, I decided to try the internet. Many sites showed up, full of offers that sounded tricky to me, and there was yours!! I followed the plan and by the 2nd day I had NO ACID!
It's been over 3 weeks, no acid and BONUS! I lost 6 lbs!!!!

I, too, was very skeptical about the results I would experience by trying your Great Taste, No Pain system. I began and stayed on the program for 2 1/2 days and must admit that I was beginning to feel much better! I even lost about 3 pounds and experienced mild detoxing. I have had acid reflux for awhile and took Nexium for about a year, until I was feeling better and the doctor said I could stop the medicine. I tried to watch my diet, but still felt very bloated most of the time. My clothes were tight at the waist and my sleep pattern would wake me up after only 3-4 hours of rest. I am serious when I say that after eating, my stomach felt like a rock and I would belch and be very gassy. After only 2 1/2 days, my stomach remained soft after eating and the feelings of being uncomfortable vanished. I thought what a fluke! I couldn't believe that this was really working, because I thought I always ate very healthy food choices and my mind was letting me think that this was really working!
Well, we needed to go out of town to babysit the grandkids for 4 days, and I took your information with me, so I could proceed with the plan. I even told my husband, as we traveled out of town, that I felt more energy than normal and said it must be the way I was eating...and he said, that's great, but you always do more and have more energy than anyone we know. I agreed, but said I was even more alert than ever! However, when we arrived to babysit, life being as it is, I fixed the foods they wanted and was so busy with baseball practices...etc... That keep 4 boys busy, that I slipped backwards and ate the foods I fixed for them (healthy choices, just not the right combinations...and did I ever pay the price! I noticed discomfort after eating, but cut back in the amount of food I consumed, and felt okay. I even slept okay, just not as great as I had after the 2nd day of eating right. But...the real test was our trip back home when I said we needed to stop for food, because it would be too late to eat by the time we would get back home. (I have stopped eating before bedtime, because it always causes the acid reflux to kick into full play!) We stopped at Long John Silvers, which sounded good, because it has been years since we've had this due to those restaurants in our area closing. What a disaster! I had barely finished my food before my stomach swelled and felt like a rock. And did I mention the gas? Oh brother, what a miserable ride home!! Oh, and the 3 pounds was all back on the scales again. Needless to say, I am starting all over again and I am anxious to attain the quick results that had begun before I strayed! I have been on your Great Taste No Pain plan now for approximately 4 weeks and feel better than I have felt in years, no more heartburn or acid reflux. My problem came on very suddenly with constipation and belly pain and my doctor diagnosed me with diverticulitis.
I went on a clear liquid diet for 3 days then I discovered your website site. I have been following your plan and have been enjoying your recipes as well. My case was mild compared to what I have read in the emails I have been receiving from you, so I consider myself lucky.
