I have had severe IBS for the last 7 years. I have also have had chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, chronic myofascial pain disorder as well. I have been unable to eat fresh fruit or red meat for several years. I was in constant pain with gas, bloating and constipation. This list could go on for hours. To sum it up, I have been in constant pain and discomfort for the last 7 years. I have taken many meds, had every blood test under the sun, had upper GI's, lower GI's etc... Lot's of fun!!! Ha.
I have been on a regiment of 40mg of Zyban, 40 mg of Celexa, 20 mg of Celebrex, and an Ambien to sleep.
I started your plan 8 days ago, and no longer need the Ambien, have stopped taking the Celebrex and Zyban. I am still taking the Celexa for fear of the FM pain coming back, but plan on coming off of it slowly as well.
I am eating fresh fruit now. I have more energy and am feeling much better. My stomach still is not perfect, but is making more progress in 8 days than the docs made in 7 years.
Thank you

Hi Sherry,
My story of bad health goes back quite a number of years. For a long time I would have suffered with intermittent constipation/ diarrhea.
About 9 years ago I started complaining of pain in my left ankle. After many visits to my GP who put me on various pain killers I was no better. Finally I was sent for
x-rays and had a blood test but nothing showed up!. I went for physiotherapy but I didn't respond very well. I also attended a chiropractor but all to no avail only he was honest enough to tell me he couldn't do anything. I tried various insoles hoping my foot would right itself. The pain developed to my back, neck and in my wrist
After some time the GP decided to send me to a consultant rheumatologist. She admitted me to hospital for tests in order to rule out anything serious. Her final diagnosis was fibromyalgia. She put me on medication and this was changed and added to over the past years. Sometimes I'm not too bad but other times I've pain all over.
One of the many symptoms is IBS. I have had some long bouts of diarrhea. I had a colonoscopy done 4 years ago but nothing serious showed up. The doctor didn't even say it was IBS. I put that name on myself! A few months ago I had another colonoscopy under a different doctor this time. He put me on a probiotic to try out for a few months.
I came across "Great Taste No Pain" and I ordered it. Since I live in a community setting
where our meals are cooked it is not so easy to follow completely but I'm doing my best to combine the foods properly. I feel I have more energy and I hope to get off all medication soon. I have been asking the doctor to do so for a while. I'm sick and tired of my fog brain, poor concentration /memory, poor sleep and fatigue. I feel the medication is making my problem worse rather than better.
Thank you for sharing all your research with us. You are a wonderful lady.

I started on your Great Taste No Pain program 4 weeks ago. I noticed a big improvement right away. I had just had an endoscopy and was told I had inflamed esophagus and gastritis, also hiatal hernia. I started the program the next day and stopped the meds I was on. I had been in pain in the belly and that stopped right away. I am enjoying eating again. I mean really can't wait for my next meal to see how delicious it is going to taste.
I have lost 7 lbs. in that month time frame. A quarter or half lb. at a time and it's what I've been trying to do for quite awhile. Not heavy, just too much in the gut area.
By the way, I'm 74 years old and weighed 129 lbs. when I began. I want to
get back to my fighting weight of 110 and I will. My fibromyalgia pain is almost nothing now.

Dear Sherry,
I have been plagued with IBS, Fibromyalgia, Acid Reflux, Chronic Fatigue
and Meniere's disease for so long. Over the years doctors have prescribed Tagamet, Zantac, Losec and anti-inflammatory.
I have been trying some of your recipes in Great Taste No Pain. They are great! I have had less heartburn and acid reflux. I tried the chili recipe last night with lean hamburger and it was great. I usually stay away from chili and beans because I am in pain after with trapped gas and terrible stomach upset but I didn't have any of that. It was awesome. Thank you so much for your Great Taste No Pain program.
Thank you again so much!
Thank you,
Barbara Michel
Dear Sherry,
I have only been using your program for 8 days, but what a difference. I had an endoscopy on the 18th of June. Thought I was having a heart attack about 3 weeks before this. Went to ER and heart was fine, but they decided it might be esophogas hiatal hernia or ulcer so went to see a nurse practitioner.
She gave me a pill to take, which wasn't helping me with the pain in the gut at all. I took one the day after the Endoscopy and said I'm not taking any more of these pills (had had almost a months worth by then) because I'm not feeling any better.
That was the same day I went to WebMD.com to look up gastritis, and found your article. I tried you Great Taste No Pain plan.
I could tell the difference the next day. The pain went away, the soreness left, took about 3 days for bowels to get adjusted. I was still burping a little once in awhile, but maybe once every other day now. I've been sticking to the plan very faithfully.
Have a lot of energy and that is unusual as I have fibromyalgia. I do have good spells anyway, but this seems to be lasting. Which is wonderful.
I also have arthritis in the hands, and have splints to wear but I'm not wearing them now and the worst one (the left) is almost pain free.
Oh and best of all I've lost 4 1/2 lbs. since I started on the 21st. I need to lose about 16 lbs. to get back to 110 and I think I'm on my way now. After a hysterectomy about 20 years ago it's been hard to lose the tummy, but I did it once (using combinations, and avoiding some foods that a Naturopathic Dr. gave me.) I felt terrific then, but dropped it for different reasons. However, I knew that worked and this is similar but much better to figure out, control and come up with tasty meals.
Thank you so much.

Hi Sherry,
I have been on your Great Taste No Pain program for 20 days. I have only taken 1 nexium since starting. I now have more energy than I had before. Besides having GERD I also have Fibromyalgia. I am not one to take medications if not necessary, so, your program has been one that I have been looking for, for a long time. I fell off the program for one day and realized what a great program you have. I enjoy very much receiving your e-mails. I plan to share this with my doctor when I see him in September

Hi Sherry,
I am so thankful that I found you on the internet. I have suffered for 19 years from fibromyalgia and now, also with ulcerated colitis and headaches that never go away. I have been on your Great Taste No Pain plan for 7 days.
The results have been amazing! I have taken pain medicine for years and years and now have gone from 3 doses to 1 dose per day! My colitis has improved. I have been eating foods that I have been told not to eat for years and I am enjoying every one. I am looking forward to not taking any pain medication at all.

Dear Sherry,
You are a godsend! Although I am sorry you had to go through so much pain for so many years (as so many of us have!) I can't thank you enough for how you've turned that into such a positive by helping others learn the simple basics of how to eat correctly.
I have lived with my daughter's family for the past 10 months after taking care of my own mother for 4 years. My body has NEVER been able to handle Western medicine, and I felt very fortunate to discover homeopathy and other alternative methods about 12 years ago. It helped with the fibromyalgia that was diagnosed by my chiropractor after a minor car accident. Since abdominal problems are a part of fibro, I figured I had finally discovered why I had negative reactions after every meal. Using only alternative methods, things were more tolerable for a few years. However, they began to get worse again, especially this past year. On May 21, I awoke feeling extremely dizzy. As the morning wore on, I wore down --- holding onto the hallway walls to keep from falling down from being so dizzy while trying to run to the bathroom for yet another "throne explosion" and vomiting.
Since my daughter’s husband is a diabetic, she asked him to test my sugar level. It was 315! That scared me silly. Long story short = I ended up in the hospital. Diabetes was diagnosed and treated somewhat successfully. However, after every "diabetic" meal and dose of medication, my body strongly objected. It was decided that the "mass" that was seen on x-rays needed to be scanned. But first I needed to drink something called Contrast. BIG MISTAKE! This led to a second diagnosis of I.B.S. (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) I was also told that I had "the dumping syndrome" = food in, food out. Sometimes within minutes. No wonder I've been so hungry all my life. Those poor little nutrition grabbers never had a chance!! I was sent home with an RX for 5mg of Glipizide to be taken in the a.m. and was also to see another doctor for a follow-up visit a week later.
During that week I discovered your Great Taste No Pain plan. It made so much sense!!! I immediately sent for it. AFTER THE VERY FIRST MEAL, I knew you were right!! NO pain, NO bloating, NO gas, NO diarrhea, NO constipation, NO nausea, NOthing!! For a whole week!!! God bless you!!!
Then I went for the follow-up visit. That doctor was very charming. Although he understood my reluctance to take medications, he stressed the "future possibilities" of diabetes and said that I had to weigh them against the present side effects. In other words, take the drugs, make myself sick and live with it. Meantime, only test my sugar levels once a week (can you believe it?!), attend the hospital's diabetic food classes, and see him again in a month. Say what?! He's going to base his plan of action on only 4 numbers?!!! And from what was offered on those diabetic food trays, well, who needs the "food education"?! The real kicker though was he actually said, "The way you eat food will have no effect on your diabetes. And, we'll treat the I.B.S. at a later date." Like they're separate issues??!!! Anyway, because of all that had happened and all that he had said, I took one dose of Metformin 500 mg. at bedtime. ANOTHER BIG MISTAKE! My plan now is to get so squeaky clean inside that ALL of my body's challenges will be overcome and there will be NO doctors and NO meds. in my life ever again!!
I had started seeing a Naturopath about 3 months ago. Together we're going to work on how to incorporate the diabetes with Great Taste No Pain. Thanks to you, I am pain free for the first time since my teens! I am now 64, and looking forward to a long, pain-free and very happy life!
With love and great Appreciation!

Hi Sherry,
My name is Kelly, (from Australia) I am a 32 year old mother of four. I only recently was diagnosed with IBS. I have to admit that I wasn't fully convinced about your idea of food combining to start with, but considering the alternative,
I figured it was worth a shot. With in the first day I noticed a difference, my stomach didn't feel as bloated and the pain had subsided conciderably, after the fourth day I was convinced, so much so that I’ve told anybody and everybody about it. I am now pretty much no, actually, I am completely pain free from IBS.
The pain I was suffering from Fibromyalgia has lessened soooooooo much. I can’t say thank you enough after seeing my mother suffer with these symptoms most of her life I now know I’m not going to suffer the same fate. I am truly grateful for the time and effort you have put in to helping other people.
Kind Regards
Kelly Wynn
Dear Sherry,
I am happy to share my success story with you.
I have had digestive issues along with other health problems since I was a child. I was always very thin and had trouble gaining weight….even though I ate tons of unhealthy food. Although I was thin, I had a "pot belly" and abdominal discomfort most of the time.
When I was around 20 years old I went to a gastroenterologist. He told me I had IBS and I should stay away from all raw fruit and vegetables. I did for the most part and it seemed that it did get worse if I ate those things, but I always felt discomfort no matter what.
Years went by and along with the constant bloating and abdominal discomfort, I started having terrible stomach acid problems. No matter what I ate I would have terrible burning in my stomach and sometimes into my chest. When I was pregnant, it got even worse and I lived on Maalox.
Of course like most health issues as I got older it got worse. About 6 weeks ago I went to my PCP because I felt like I had a lump between my stomach and my throat and whatever I swallowed was getting stuck. He told me it was probably because my esophagus was swollen due to acid reflux. He prescribed Prevacid tablets in a dissolvable form, since I couldn't even swallow a pill. He also told me to stay away from foods containing acid.
After about a week, I felt some relief. I then decided to see a gastroenterologist. She told me to continue taking the Prevacid and then come back to see her in 6 weeks. She told me to stop taking the Prevacid a week before I had to come in for the appointment. She said if the pain comes back, then she would want to do an endoscopy. I knew it was going to come back, since I have had this problem for so many years. Knowing that I had to go off the medicine before my appointment and dreaded the thought of suffering with pain, I started research on the computer for natural cures for acid reflux. I came across a few different things, but the Great Taste No Pain plan seemed to make the most sense. After one day on the plan and no Prevacid, I felt an unbelievable improvement. No more burning and pain when eating acidic foods. No more bloating and discomfort in my abdomen when eating raw fruits and vegetables.
My appointment is next week. I was thinking of cancelling it since I feel better. But I may keep it just so I can tell her about GTNP.
I have been on the plan for 1 week and I am so grateful that I don't have to depend on medicine to get rid of my acid reflux. I can now eat foods that I love, which before gave me so much gas and burning. I also have fibromyalgia and frequent migraines, which have also improved dramatically. It really seems to go to be true. I have suffered for about 30 years, and then in one day, I was better, and without medication.
Thank you so much for doing the research needed to come up with the Great Taste No Pain plan.
