Hi Sherry,

A few weeks ago, I managed to make it through, what I thought might be, my last gall bladder attack. Last, not because I wasn't going to have any more of them, but because I thought I'd die that night. I was almost okay with that. Then, through prayer, I was led to your website. It's the first time in all my research that I found something that addressed, in one place, every symptom and experience I've had--and that offered a real, doable solution. Finally!

I've been suffering for the past six years with everything you, and others in their testimonials on your site and in your newsletters mention. The gas-pain and nausea I knew so well were excruciating and debilitating. The one thing I didn't suffer from regularly, however, was the acid reflux problem; this only occurred with me a few times...nothing serious.

I visited many doctors, as you can imagine, seeking answers for my pain and discomfort, and, ironically, it was for this, that I received prescriptions. No matter what I described, or explained or pointed to, I was ultimately sent on my way with a prescription for an acid blocker or suppressant, such as Ranitidine or Panteloc.

We knew better than to fill them, but out of sheer curiosity my husband and I enquired of a pharmacist, as to the cost of the latter...Unbelievable! At times I was even given freebies, from Periet to Nexium and beyond. Free drugs (I didn't use) for something I didn't even have!

Before all the drug offers, I had an unforgettable experience with a nearly-retired, well-respected doctor at our local clinic. He actually dismissed me from his office after telling me, "...you're cramping, just cramping!" and recommended I just get a physical some time in the future. You might imagine the look on my face.

By the way, all the doctors told me I looked too well...praise God :), so, how could I be so sick? None of them even mentioned IBS, and said my gall bladder was fine. If only they knew...

I won't even mention all the money we spent at the Naturopath. Then, when the Gastroenterologist told me, in answer to my nausea, that he could remove my Ileocecal valve, because they "...remove those all the time" I cancelled my appointment for a scope.

My valve was weak, and I knew toxins were flushing backwards into my small intestines, but I knew I needed it. How come I knew all that and a specialist couldn't tell me why? Anyway, I've just been dealing with it...do all I could when I felt well. The only time I felt really good was when I didn't eat at all. My husband and I would fast for days, sometimes.

I thought I had cancer in every organ within my abdominal cavity; we travelled five hours from our home to visit a doctor I knew of from 27 years ago. He told me I didn't have the look of someone with cancer, and he talked of food intolerances. I remember this from the first time I saw him, but I was young, undisciplined, and was left on my own to figure it out. He, incidentally, followed a man you mentioned, Dr. Abram Hoffer.

This confirmed for me, that I was definitely on the right track with your system...one I should have had back in 1983. So, I believe my IBS started a long time ago, but it fully reared its ugliness in my 40's. I'm 52 now. And, thanks to your suffering :) and your due diligence in figuring out this food-thing, I believe I'm on my way to feeling as good as the medical professionals said I looked :)

I already have more consistent energy this past week since following your system. I haven't been fearful of waking in the night with horrendous "cramping." I'm even brave enough to play a little with your recipes, but, thanks to you, and with my new understanding, I at least know what's happening to me, if things go sideways for a bit. I can now nip-it-in-the-bud...be pro-active, and have the confidence, that as time goes on, so will I...Lord willing :)

Keep your informative letters coming!

Yours, sincerely

Erin

Hi Sherry,

I purchased your Great Taste No Pain plan last year and even though I haven't followed it to true form I did find that it helped me with the gas and heartburn/acid reflux watching the combination of foods. Also have hiatal hernia/GERD. I don't eat Prilosec OTC or Tums like I used to! Thanks!

I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and plan to follow your plan more closely. I also have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. The doctor put me on 1800 calorie diet, oral medication and told me to lose weight. Being a new diabetic I found out from a friend whose son is a diabetic that I need to watch my carb intake... I wonder why the doctor never said that to me?

I enjoy your emails so much and take in the fact that you have helped me in my health with regard to heartburn/GERD but will jump on the bandwagon to work harder to help myself be rid of the meds I am taking. My cousin forwarded your website to me a year a go and I am so glad she did!

I am sooooo excited about the information I have learned from your Great Taste No Pain plan that I am recruiting as many people as possible to try your program. I don't like calling it a program; it is just learning the correct way to combine foods that we like to eat. Having had ups and downs with Crohn's for over 20 years, this is the first time I have been able to eat certain foods and not get sick (gas, bloating, indigestion, constipation, you name it). I have been saying that we Americans are so sick because of what we eat, which was true, but I see now it is more of how we combine the foods that we eat.

I love your plan and have passed it around. Now I am working on them each buying their own copy of your plan. I search the internet quite frequently, looking for answers to dealing with Crohn's, but this time God opened my eyes to see your website because I believe he was tired of me "belly aching" about how I was feeling. (smiles)

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am a new advocate of the Great Taste No Pain way of eating and surviving after eating.

Love it, love it , love it.

Hello Sherry,

Just a quick note from one of your 'admirers' from across the pond. I have suffered from ulcerative colitis for 15 years, although it was only diagnosed about 10 years ago.

I was a professional sportsman and subsequently a keen marathon runner and tri athlete. I also worked in a high pressure job which involved lots of travel and socializing. I got used to alternate periods of steroids then 20-30 visits to the loo each day, when I stopped taking them. (And that was only while I was awake!)

This played havoc with my social life diet and leisure time with my three Children. Not to mention the air travel with work and Holidays I had to endure.

I had a spinal operation following complications from an old sporting injury and from that date my symptoms worsened, I became anemic, weak, exhausted and developed facial sores, and my hemoglobin count had become dangerously low. Following a gastroscopy, it was discovered the colitis had worsened and spread all around my large intestine. The hospital wanted to admit me for a transfusion. I declined. The stress of the acute and prolonged symptoms had caused more pain in my upper quadrant which the Doctors suspected was a peptic ulcer or gallstones. It turned out; following further 'camera work' IBS was diagnosed.

It was then I searched on the net for more natural cures. I was aware of food combining when doing endurance training, it helped reduce stomach cramps, indigestion and fatigue. Your plan seemed a natural progression to ease digestive discomfort.

I have to say a week into the plan; my symptoms have reduced by 90%!!!! I am sleeping better, have more energy, less gas bowel discomfort and (my wife assures me) I am a lot easier to live with as a result.

I will carry on with your Great Taste No Pain recipes and I 'm looking forward to pain and discomfort free times ahead.

Your plan has given me hope where I thought there was none after 15 years, and I wanted to pass this message on to anyone who is deliberating over purchasing your paln do it! You will never regret it.

Thanks again

Hi Sherry,

Since my early twenties I have battled with IBS-C. I am 32 now, so about 10 years. All of my doctors have told me 'just take this and things will move along fine'. I have refused to take any such meds. I do not want to be on a medicine regime or be dependent on drugs. So I have struggled with day to day battles with constipation, bloating and gas. Once and awhile I would have diarrhea and almost be thankful for those days. (Sad existence)

About a week and a half ago, I had hit a low point and decided I was done dealing with being miserable every single day. My stomach had ballooned to the point I was wearing maternity pants. (I haven't worn those in over 5 years.) My stomach was huge. It had been days since I had gone to the bathroom. I tried to increase my fiber intake and all it caused was major gas. My daughter asked me if I was going to have a baby!! I started looking online for home remedies and happened onto your site.

I had read the success stories and thought to myself, I am eating fiber, but how interesting if it is the combination of the food I was eating. I thought, well, I might as well give it a shot. After the first day, my husband said to me, "Hey, you almost got your figure back!" I was thrilled to start feeling better. (It's true too! I had gained around 12 pounds.) After the 4th day, I had dropped back down to my original weight of 136.5. I realized God had answers my prayers. I never thought I would feel like this again. I honestly had forgotten what it felt like to 'be normal'.

Thanks to you and all of your research and work, I am excited to start a new life. I am thrilled my family will eat better as well. You are doing a wonderful thing, Sherry. Again, thank you so much!

Sincerely,

Melanie B.

Thank you for your continued interest in my efforts to improve. I did follow very carefully the Great Taste No Pain plan. I did find immediate improvement, no bloating and gas!

It is wonderful not to worry about incredible gas explosions.

Thanks again.

I am still in a state of total disbelief. Almost 2 weeks on the program and for the first time in over 25 years I am not taking a proton pump inhibitor, nexium, Prevacid, protonix, you name it and I have used it. In addition I was taking over 600 gms of ranitidine and tums and many a night I sat up with extreme gerd. Always feeling bloated and embarrassing bouts of gas all gone. The food combining has made me feel better than I have felt in years. I can't wait to see my gastro. doctor and show him your plan and tell him he can save his Rx pad as far as I am concerned.

I can't begin to thank you and to think I really had to think about it before I went ahead and ordered your program. The whole thing is so logical and really doesn't require any major changes in lifestyle.

Dear Sherry,

Yes I am doing much better thanks to the Great Taste No Pain life style. I have not been on medication but was becoming increasingly embarrassed with my very rumble tummy while I was working on my massage clients. Now, no more loud interruptions and apologies. What a relief!!

Also the of course much less gas and more regular bowel movements. All great things I've noticed that I'm not craving any thing and am satisfied.

Thank you so much!

Dear Sherry,

I am 75 and discovered your website last July. I may not be a severe case but have had digestive problems since a teenager. I have had bouts of IBS and in my 50's diagnosed with diverticula. Over the ensuing years I have had various tests that proved negative and taken the usual over the counter antacids. I have always felt my body was too acidic but did not know what to do about it.

Last July I started following your Great Taste No Pain plan and found it very helpful. My energy levels are so much better and little flatulence. Trips to the toilet are less and I feel more confidence going out. Weight problems are not mine as I am 53 kg but I am the lightest I have ever been with the loss in the right places. My appetite is good.

Keep up the good work.

Regards

Suzanne
