I have meant to write sooner, but I can't thank you enough. I use to have the worse heartburn from my hiatal hernia, but since I started following your Great Taste No Pain plan it has not bothered me. The only time I have had a problem is when I didn't pay attention to what and how I ate. I soon decided it certainly wasn't worth disobeying what I know. I will be visiting my doctor next week for my four month check and I can't wait to tell her I have not been taking the prescription she had given me.
Thanks again
Olive
Hi Sherry,
I purchased your Great Taste No Pain plan last year and even though I haven't followed it to true form I did find that it helped me with the gas and heartburn/acid reflux watching the combination of foods. Also have hiatal hernia/GERD. I don't eat Prilosec OTC or Tums like I used to! Thanks!
I was recently diagnosed with diabetes and plan to follow your plan more closely. I also have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. The doctor put me on 1800 calorie diet, oral medication and told me to lose weight. Being a new diabetic I found out from a friend whose son is a diabetic that I need to watch my carb intake... I wonder why the doctor never said that to me?
I enjoy your emails so much and take in the fact that you have helped me in my health with regard to heartburn/GERD but will jump on the bandwagon to work harder to help myself be rid of the meds I am taking. My cousin forwarded your website to me a year a go and I am so glad she did!

Sherry,
Here is my story: In 2009 I had a passing out spell while at camp in Sandy Creek. They took me to St. Joseph’s hospital to see what was happening. They found I had bleeding ulcers and gave me the 3 units of blood I lost. During the testing from head to toe they found I had a cyst/tumor on my left kidney. It was removed laparoscopic in July by a wonderful Doctor in Syracuse. He told me I could not wait I had to have it out so on July 14, it came out. Well I did wonderful as God was with me and took care of me. I did not have to have any treatments as it was encapsulated. I also had stomach problems, diverticulitis and a hiatal hernia.
WELL, BELIEVE THIS OR NOT, I tried your Great Taste No Pain plan and I HAVE NOT HAD PAIN SINCE THEN. I REALLY AM HAPPY AND FEEL I OWE YOU FOR THAT PLAN.
Only one day did I slip and the pain showed up so we know It works. I am not taking any Tums, Maalox, Milk of Magnesia or anything else and was astonished to see I have had regular bowel movements without the help of a dose of something to help me go.
Thank you once again. Most of all I want to recognize my Heavenly Father who has carried me thru all the surgery and now to keep me on this plan and watch what happens.
Thanks again
Joanne C.
Dear Sherry,
I guess you can say I am hard headed, let me explain;
I have had IBS for over 20 years now, been ill with allergy symptoms, headaches and migraines. Seeing all kinds of doctors whom seem to push the never ending drugs my way. Sure they helped at first, and then stopped and symptoms got worse, more drugs thrown my way.
I came across your Great Taste No Pain program last year and did try it. It worked, I felt better and the hard-headed me started eating the old way and forgot about your eating program, dumb me! Thing then got much worse! My allergy symptoms had doubled, my migraines had doubled, my IBS was out of control, and then I was told I had Hiatal Hernia. More drugs that didn’t help were given to me. Is surgery next?
I sure thought so, until my smart husband reminded me of your program. Hmm, I looked you up again and started following your program right away and wow, I am almost symptom free after two days. This hard headed woman has learned a hard lesson.
Thank you,
Sincerely,
Cheryl Yunder
Hi Sherry,
My daughter, Verity, 25, has been diagnosed with a hiatus hernia. I took her to the emergency department of our local hospital, after she ate an orange, because the pain was so bad. We were told she should stick to the medication they prescribed and a very restrictive diet. Medication gave side effects impossible to ignore- headaches, thirst, rashes, and lassitude.
Low fat diet didn't help, as she was not only still having pain attacks, but also gaining weight. The diet she was recommended included completely cutting out all citrus fruit, tomatoes, fats, and any spices. This she gladly did, but she still had debilitating attacks of pain. We were told she should stick to the medication, and the diet.
It didn't work. In desperation, after another night of terribly painful reflux, I trawled the internet for a solution. I had remembered reading actor Sir John Mills autobiography, in which he recommended the "Hays Diet" after being invalided out of the army for a similar problem. He said it saved his life. I was confused. There were so many conflicting reports about it.
I then saw your Great Taste No Pain website. It seemed to use similar principles, and so we decided to try it. After sticking to it, her pain decreased, and yesterday, for the first time in a year, she ate an orange, and a tomato, and experienced no pain. She is looking healthier, and is sleeping much better.
It’s a real blessing to us and I look forward to her eating healthy food, and being pain free.
Regards
Geraldine
Hi Sherry,
I am on your Great Taste No Pain plan and I have not had any pain or bloating in the past two days.
Thank you, thank you, thank you.
The research you have done and the outreach you're doing is powerful healing. Thank you for reaching out and educating me. I am an LPN for 38 years. I have spent most of my life scoffing down my meals in less than 20 minutes due to the 30 minute lunch break rule. I use to smoke and by the time I smoked and did toileting it was all the time I had for the 30 minute lunch break. Even the many times when not limited to 30 minutes for a meal I was always the first to finish eating.
I have been overeating, not eating breakfast and eating the wrong combinations and kinds of food forever. I am 62 years old, taking Boniva and 1200mg of Calcium for diagnosis of Osteopenia (-2 bone density).
I have suffered more in the past year with stomach pains and bloating. I have also had gastrointestinal infection. I was lead to your web site when searching for hernia information.
Thank God!
You are a gift - one I so appreciate.

Dear Sherry,
Thank you so much for your Great Taste No Pain plan. It has helped me almost immediately! If not sooner than that! Over the years I have suffered from bouts of bloatedness, constipation, hemorrhoids, heartburn and reflux, these symptoms would then flare up at times causing me further distress. I'd spent years trying everything to try and
find some relief. But everything turned out to futile! Just recently these symptoms were narrowed down to just one major complaint, Irritable Bowel Syndrome! I was also diagnosed with a hiatus hernia some years back and this has also gotten worse, so much so that it causes me to regularly take antacids so that I am able to sleep.
However, that all changed after following your Great Taste No Pain plan and applying what it had to say, I am no longer a slave to antacid pills, I feel much better! Going to the toilet is not the 'chore' it once was, in fact, I have noticed an overall improvement!
Thank you so much for giving me the help at the right time!

Sherry,
I would be honored to share my story with others.
Approximately twenty years ago I started taking antacids for heartburn. After five years of complaints and sleepless nights my doctor decided I should go on a PPI medication.
After a few trials, I ended up taking 30mg of Prevacid each day. This medication ended all my pain and I thought everything was great. After a year or two, I started noticing joint and specifically shoulder pain that just kept getting worse. This was causing sleepless nights and daily aches so my doctor ran some tests and told me the Prevacid was depleting nutrients in my body. He put me on a high concentration of B-Complex vitamins and COQ10. This helped with the shoulder pain but not various other joint aches. I just dealt with it for many years because I was sleeping at night... Five years ago, my insurance company forced me to have an endoscopy and would not fill my Prevacid until the results came back. I was miserable on another medication the doctor gave me. Once the results came back I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia and back on the Prevacid... Two years ago, I developed a pain in my left hip... Arthritis runs in my family so I went to a rheumatologist who thought it might be bursitis and gave me a shot in the joint which didn't help. I then went back to my family doctor, who sent me to a sports medicine doctor, who sent me to a pain management doctor, who sent me to a neurologist. None of these doctors could explain the pain, x-rays and MRI showed nothing, the pain doctor wanted to shoot steroids into my back which I refused because he was not convinced it would help. Very frustrated and hurting in both hips by now, I decided to drop the COQ10 dosage and continue the B12. This surprisingly helped a little but not enough. All along, I wondered if the Prevacid was my problem since joint pain is a known side effect. It's the only medication I take and have taken for ten+ years.
I started researching and discovered your website. I'm very happy to say that following your Great Taste No Pain plan I have not had one episode of heartburn and am totally off the Prevacid. Thank you so much for sharing your work! It truly has been a blessing for me!

My story sounds like all the rest. I have a hiatal hernia and have suffered great burning pain all my life. 13 years ago I was started on a proton-pump inhibitor pill and while the pain seemed to go away. The IBS symptoms started big time. The Dr. said it was imperative I continue and if one pill didn't do it I was to take a second one. Just recently the Dr. told me I was starting to loose bone mass and to take another pill. Then
he said my cholesterol was too high and he had a pill for that.
Six weeks ago I started looking for a way out and with trial and error I learned I was gluten sensitive. About this same time I found your Great Taste No Pain plan and decided to try it. It did what you said it would do in two days. The food is wonderful and I am now off all meds.
With the combination of no gluten and your food plan I lost 20 lbs. in the first week and a half. It just fell off while I ate very well as much as I wanted. My sinus problems went away, along with the IBS and half my arthritis pain. I have also learned how to live with my hiatal hernia.
Now, all the pain is a thing of the past along with my old Dr. I am now looking for a new Dr. who is not threatened by new information.

I recently went to the Hospital because I had what was believed to be a blockage and a Crohns Flare. I have taken myself off steroids and was feeling pain and vomiting. They put me on IV's and put a tube in my stomach and waited to see what happened. They did not want to operate since I am overweight, have a huge hiatal hernia, COPD and heart Disease and MS. They want me to lose weight to repair the hernia. You can imagine how hopeless I feel.
I decided to try your Great Taste No Pain plan and I am much better. Less pain and feel it would be no pain if I didn't have this large Hernia.
