Dear Sherry,

About six weeks ago, I was having one of the worst bouts with my colon that I'd ever had. I've had IBS for years, but this was different. I had chills and fever, terrible cramps in my whole abdomen. Then after a couple days of that, the pain settled into my left side. I knew to cut back on eating regular foods. I was having liquids: chicken bouillon, warm tea, dry toast; just one thing at a time, until I was better.

About 5 years ago, I'd had a colonoscopy which showed "diverticulosis." I knew that when it turns into "diverticulitis" it is dangerous and needs attention. And I believe this was the first time I really had diverticulitis. I had read online that when it settles in the left side, and fever is present, I should go to the ER! So, I was scared, but I didn't want to go to the hospital, if I could possibly avoid it.

On the third day, with my phone in my hand, I went online again to see what I was to ask the doctor. As I looked for the site I'd seen earlier, I passed yours--then backed up and stopped and read it. I spent at least an hour reading, re-reading and trying to decide what to do. I finally decided to order.

I'm here to tell you that you CAN teach a 74-year old something new! (My oncologist says I'm a young 74!) I've survived breast cancer twice: in 1992 (with chemo & radiation) and in 2006 (with radiation). Both were lumpectomies. So, I certainly want to stay as healthy as possible and avoid any other cancers.

I feel God's continued care and finding your plan are helping in that goal. By the way, I can't keep from telling others about food combining. It's a whole new concept to me. If I slip back to the old way once in a while, I realize what a difference the new way really makes!

Thanks for making it available.

Hello Sherry,

I am so thrilled that I finally found a person that understands my problem and could help me through it, I thank you so much. I had my stroke at the age of 48 years old in 2005. Along with the other problems you have helped me with (and you did so wonderfully) I have followed everything you have taught me so far and I feel wonderful. No more irritated stomach. No more irritated bowel. I feel great and I am not hungry at all - I feel great!

Sincerely,

Janis Getz

Sherry:

I thought I was basically a pretty healthy person; I exercise regularly, 5'4-127 lbs. thought I was eating okay. I felt good except for the morning bathroom runs - by mid day they were gone and I would feel like my old self, except I found myself to be tired. I concluded that I developed a nervous stomach; I did not realize it was digestive issues. I always thought just because I didn't eat much, that I wasn't doing my body harm. Well more than 3 years ago, it (IBS) started and I have been miserable ever since. I've gotten to the point of not wanting to each much of anything that I thought would cause me to run to the bathroom. I've tried vitamins and other health stuff but I continued with diarrhea daily at the most inopportune times.

I had gotten to the point that I didn't want to go out for fear of a bathroom run. Then when I did go out I would run to the bathroom 6-7 times. It was embarrassing and tiresome. The last straw came about 2 weeks ago. I got dressed to go to an all day convention. I drove downtown (20 minute drive) only to get to the hotel and realize that I could not get out of the car and to the bathroom fast enough, so I had to turn around and drive back home. I was not going to let it make me miss this seminar that I paid for, so I got dressed again and went back downtown. I was feeling nauseous so I didn't want to ingest anything except water and I was afraid of that. I did have to go to the bathroom a couple of times, but it was okay. Lunch came and I was starving... salad... fish... vegetable, mmmmmmm! I ate everything on my plate and hope that it would stick. It did.

I was so sick and tired of this the next day I started researching IBS again. I found Sherry Brescia and "Great Taste No Pain". I purchased it and I immediately started that day. At the end of the first day I was having stomach spasms/pain (actually which I never experienced during the IBS bouts) the spasms continued for the first 3 days, but I just kept telling myself you are detoxing your body, it will stop. Sure enough it did and I have been feeling much better, eating a lot more and losing weight.......go figure. I now have energy because I am not exhausted from running to the bathroom every 5 minutes. The plan is simple to follow and the food really is delicious. A week on the plan and I have lost 3 lbs.

I have been making my husband eat what I cook from the program and he is thoroughly enjoying it.

It really does have Great taste!

Thank you Sherry for finally coming up with an ingenious idea........eat right so you don't have to pay the price!

Kudos!

Hi Sherry,

I'm 61 now, but at 40 I had IBS and was on a downhill spiral from then until now. I have been to specialists and doctors (many) and they always put me on some medication that I would eventually take myself off of.

I took Metamucil for 20yrs. until I couldn't look at it any longer. Now I've been on Nexium for 7 yrs. and just recently getting sicker by the day. No matter how healthy I tried to eat I was still sick. I wasn't eating the right combinations. Then I was diagnosed with chronic bronchitis. So I know my lungs are congested because of acid. My ears are crusty all the time, not to mention my sore throat from acid. But ten days ago I found your website and I am doing great. Now I think my body is detoxing. My nose is running and I truly think I am losing acid through my bowels, and definitely in my urine. I can't thank you enough, and my family will too. They are so tired of me being sick. I'm 61 and I have a lot of living to do. I still can't believe that I am off Nexium and caffeine. Wish I could give you a big hug. You are truly an angel and hopefully you are being blest for your efforts to help others. I am no longer taking laxatives either and going everyday. Now I know why I wasn't getting nourished; now my digestive tract is getting a chance to work properly and for me.

God Bless you mightily

Love,

Gloria Jones

Hi Sherry,

I wanted to give you a quick update. I have been in pain for many years that was getting worse and worse... November and December I had excruciating pains in my abdomen. I had endometriosis and they did a full hysterectomy. 2 weeks after my surgery my OBGYN sent me to a Gastroentologist. He put me under and did and upper and lower. Come to find out... I also had GERD, Diverticulitis, IBS, and polyps. I was told no Citrus, tomatoes, garlic, black pepper, strawberries, and to take daily pills to cut the Acid in my stomach. Weeks later I still had the heartburn, gas, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, bloating, bleeding, etc... I was following doctor’s orders and still hurting. A friend told me about your website and I thought... anything is worth a try. I tried your program and I have been pain Free. I forgot how nice it feels to be Pain Free, Bloat Free, Gas Free, Burp Free, Heartburn Free, etc. day after day.

Thank you, Sherry. You are an answered prayer. I have shared your website with many. Thank you again!

Hi Sherry,

I have had acid reflux problems for the past 20 years. I have reduced my medication and I am sleeping much better. Saw your info on the web search after I was also now told had IBS - do not feel so bloated, stool more regular and am feeling like a new person.

Thank you,

Hello Sherry,

Even though it's been a short period of time I just wanted to say that stumbling on to this web site has been eye opening for me. I have to say that within the second day I did feel different. I tried to follow as closely as possible to the outlined menu and for the most part at this time I really do feel much better... that ballooning is less and my clothes already fit and feel much better on. I feel if I stick to this definite change of eating and lifestyle change, life will and can be more enjoyable and I’ll have restored confidence.

I forgot to add that 5yrs ago I was diagnosed with IBS and was given different medication that ended up being pulled off the market which caused other complications and left me looking for other ways and things to take for gastric problems. Of course they did not work, so for the past 4 yrs I've looked like I was pregnant but... in the past 7 to 8 days I'm no longer resting my arms across my tummy like you would when you are pregnant....that makes me feel good inside and out...I know this condition did not happen over night and it won't go away that fast but this is starting to be a turn around for me...I'll try to keep you updated....

Sherry,

I'm 42 and have had stomach pain for the last 10-12 years. I thought I was doing everything right - exercising 3-4 times a week and making sure to eat healthy, which WAS to be sure to eat fruit and veggies everyday with limited junk food. I appeared very healthy & fit to people who saw me. But, around age 30, I began to have stomach cramps and diarrhea constantly, especially after meals. My husband and I still joke about how I'd drive like a crazy person and slam on the brakes to make it to the nearest bathroom. (Although, it wasn't funny at the time) My doctor said it was IBS and suggested fiber (Metamucil, Benefiber). After more pain, I then saw a specialist who diagnosed me with spastic colon and prescribed medication. He said I may need to be scoped, which I didn't want at all.

I continued on through the years with bouts of sickness, until last year when I began having terrible acid reflux, gas, and painful heartburn. I tried LOTS of over the counter pills for several months, but none of them helped. By December, 08, I reluctantly was about to pick up the phone again to call the doctor, but I went on-line instead. (Actually, I was in search of information about more medication that might be out there to help) Thank goodness I found you instead. Now, you have taught me about the harmful side effects of all that medicine. I began GTNP on Jan. 1, 2009 and I have felt great since. I want to thank you so much for helping me.

Sincerely,

Jessica Faubert

Hi Sherry,

I have been on the Pain-Free system off and on for over a week and can literally tell you that there is a remarkable difference. As a matter of fact I am scheduled for a barium enema test this week and I was thinking of cancelling it; however, I also want answers on what caused the pain I endured since November but is barely noticeable with your eating plan unless I cheat and eat as before.

I have been suffering from various intestinal and digestive problems since I was a child. I remember regurgitating bile as a young child and being scared of what was coming out of me. I progressed to different gut problems and the doctors would all tell me that it was a nervous stomach or a nervous bowel. Yeah right! Now what? They don't say the same anymore, doctors and gastoentologist tell me I have IBS, spastic bowel, acid reflux, diverticulosis, colitis and the icing on the cake came this winter when I contracted a bacteria called C-Difficile from which they are checking me for crohn’s now as well. I was hospitalized on four different occasions and took antibiotics for four months. This bacteria caused my bowels to be so badly inflamed that there were pockets of puss visable in the partial colonoscopy that I had done in January. Right after this colonoscopy they removed my chronically inflamed gallbladder. So this winter was not a trip South but a trip inside my gut.

After all these months of suffering and eating bland food that depressed me, I started searching the Internet and fell upon your site and have tried the Pain-Free system. Well would you believe that the major pain that was causing me so much suffering decreased and if I follow your plan it completely goes away.

I am in the process of reading and highlighting everything in the Great Taste No Pain system that points to the end of the tunnel of pain and suffering that I have endured for so long. I love your recipes and plan on using this system for as long as I live, as I surely don't want to experience another period of suffering like I just went through.

I thought I was eating properly as I had made so many changes because of my various problems but it was not enough. I knew that I had to change the way I ate but I didn't know how and where to start. The week I found your Internet site, I told my naturopath that she should give lessons on how to feed ourselves to good health. Thank you so much for answering a need that all of us gut sufferers have. How could we know about food combing being the culprit for all our gut problems? This course is so great because it is teaching us to treat our gut right. I am very enthusiastic and talking to other sufferers about the Great Taste No Pain system. Let's hope that they won't wait until they live the same or similar experience I lived before they decide to change their eating habits, now that they know better. Thank you again Sherry.

Hi Sherry,

I am so amazed by how easy and simple these first days of "Great Taste No Pain" have been. You and your program have been an absolute miracle to me! I only wished I would have discovered this program a few years earlier. I have struggled with stomach problems and digestive problems all of my life. I thought it was simply genetics because of my father, my aunt, and my sister. My father was hospitalized on numerous occasions for his gallbladder, stomach ulcers, and for diverticulitis. Doctors never came up with a solution except for surgery or antacids. Before he died he was actually taking 1-2 bottles of Mylanta per day! My father got to the point where he just stopped eating altogether because everything upset his stomach. The last time he was hospitalized (2 yrs ago) was two days after we ate at a Mexican food restaurant- -he ended up in a coma in ICU for three weeks. It was discovered that he had several bleeding ulcers and he was septic. He never woke back up and he died at the very young age of 53. I wish I would have known about your program sooner, but I am so grateful to discover it now. I actually found you because I was researching information on hernias and possible surgery for myself. I myself have had trouble with ulcers, and IBS and like I said just always assumed it was a genetic problem. I now understand that the way we eat affects our internal organs so much! Thanks to your program I have not had to take my daily antacid medicine and I am not feeling bloated any longer. I look forward to continuing on with the entire "Great Taste No Pain" system, and living a long and healthy life.

God Bless You!

Amy Turner
