Sherry,

I'm very happy that my wife found your website two weeks ago. I was in the middle of more medicine to treat my colitis when she told me she was ordering your Great Taste No Pain system. At that time I had just had a bad reaction to s sulfa drug, Lialda, and started on prednisone from the same doctor. I started on your plan and changed all my old eating habits. A week later we were absolutely amazed at the changes. I've also noticed that my arthritic knee is not bothering me anymore, and I'm losing weight. All the things you've talked about in your program are actually working for me. I keep waiting for the relapse, it can't be this easy!

Before this last attack I had endured surgery for diverticulitis and such extreme pain that I had just about given up on eating. My doctors were saying Crohn's disease, IBS, autoimmune disorder this and that. Now I say, whatever, I'm looking forward to my next meal with relish. I've never felt better. Thank you so much for having this program available.

Sincerely,

Russ Williams

Sherry,

I'm still in a state of shock and awe!

THEN It was a popular Italian restaurant, and I'd eaten a traditional Italian restaurant dinner: bread, salad, and meaty lasagna for dinner, followed by tiramisu for dessert. Approximately an hour and a half later, I had my very first attack.

For 5 long years since that fateful night, almost every morning has begun with at least one round of diarrhea--sometimes 2 or 3--often with horrible cramping and abdominal pain. Then of course I would feel awful, and I would always have to be very careful of whatever I ate throughout the day to prevent any immediate, explosive attacks... but they would still happen from time to time. Every evening was spent trying to muster enough energy to keep functioning after a day at the office, and I could sometimes manage to make dinner but often it was brought home from somewhere else. Such was life with IBS (or so I thought!).

I started eating very healthfully a few years ago: lots of grains, fruits and veggies; very low fat content; more whole, natural foods and less processed stuff out of boxes or cans; mostly water to drink; and always careful to get lots of soluble fiber, all in an effort to control the IBS attacks. Even still, almost every meal gave me indigestion and painful gas, and "rotten" was truly the best word to describe all digestive output... I couldn't even stand my own brand anymore! Every once in a great while, though, I would have a nice, healthy-smelling, solid bowel movement... that intermittent normalcy was my first clue that it might really be the food.

During the last couple of years I developed carpel tunnel syndrome, and eventually had to resort to wearing wrist braces to ease the symptoms. Then came full-blown arthritis to the point of needing daily glucosamine/chondroitin supplements to ease the stiffness and pain in my knees, hips, and spine. My ankles started swelling up nearly every afternoon, and during just about any meal my entire face would bead up with perspiration. This year (2009) I suddenly started getting yeast and bladder infections, more often in the last nine months than ever before in all my 38 years. After getting checked out and taking the medicine to stop each of those problems, I began taking cranberry and probiotic supplements designed to help prevent them from recurring. All the while I was attributing these issues to the aging process and pre-menopause.

I started following a diet program in January, and I lost 20 pounds in 5 months but then nothing more after that. I have a fancy scale that measures not only weight but also hydration and body fat percentages via a current thru bare feet (thanks Mom!). Even as I watched that weight number drop each week over those 5 months, the hydration and body fat numbers stayed exactly the same. That was pretty disparaging...

Then in August I had what I think was either a gall- or kidney-stone attack. I'm not sure which because, somehow, I rode out the intense pain and vomiting for about 2 hours, and then it subsided almost as quickly as it had started. This happened immediately after eating a favorite of mine, a lean meat and cheese sandwich.

Thus began anew yet another search for something--anything--to make the digestive problems go away, something that made real sense to explain why food could be the cause. I can't tell you exactly how many times I've come across that same little link in my searches over the last few years, but I had seen it many times before. Just a tiny Google Ad embedded in an article, two simple, little words: "IBS cure"... a hyperlink I am eternally grateful to have finally clicked, because it led me to your Great Taste No Pain food combining program.

Now Starting literally DAY ONE, the daily IBS symptoms, painful gas, intestinal cramps, and malodorous output ended. Instantly. On DAY TWO I actually felt the increase in energy--so much energy I felt hyper! On DAY THREE the carpel tunnel and arthritis symptoms began to disappear. (I've stopped taking all supplements, including the yeast and bladder infection preventatives, for 5 weeks now and still no recurrence!) AND my ankles don't swell up in the afternoons anymore. AND my face doesn't sweat while eating anymore, either. AND I'm losing an average of 3 pounds per week. AND my hydration number is moving UP and the body fat number is moving DOWN. FINALLY!! :)

I've been keeping a food diary since January, so I know for a fact since starting Great Taste No Pain I am eating less, not because this is a "diet" but because it takes less actual food to satisfy and sustain me. I'm also drinking less water, yet I'm more hydrated(?!). I want for nothing on this program--in fact it tastes like I'm eating fantastic gourmet restaurant food every single day--and all these benefits are happening effortlessly as a result of doing nothing more than simply tweaking which foods I was eating and, most importantly, HOW I was eating them together.

Many blessings to you, Sherry Brescia, for creating this program to make food combining so easy--and for sharing it and your wonderful recipes with the rest of us! THANK YOU!!

Hi Sherry,

Over the past week I have been making changes in my diet and following your Great Taste No Pain plan. I wanted to try your plan in hopes that it would help the osteoarthritis in my fingers. One in particular was giving me trouble - the middle finger on my right hand. The middle joint of that finger had become swollen and the finger had begun to curve inward. I am so pleased to report that the swelling has gone down and the finger has straightened up!

What we eat and how we combine the food does indeed make a difference in our entire body. Thanks so much for your Great Taste No Pain plan!

Sherry,

I have been eating the Great Taste No Pain way for the last month. I mostly was fascinated with this way of eating since you said I am over weight and have tried to stay on lots of diets, but for some reason or another I always was frustrated having to deny myself of certain foods. I just ended up gaining more weight.

I love this way of eating and I have lost 10 pounds and my energy level has gone up. My joints have stopped hurting. Thanks to your plan I feel more educated on the foods I now combine and eat. I tried your Brownie recipe and it is to die for. Thank Again,

Joyce Green

Good day Sherry

Thank you for your awesome articles and the Great Taste No Pain plan..

I have spent my whole life wondering why I was not able to lose weight and recently someone sent me a link to your website. It was like a light bulb went on inside my head. I realized that I had almost every side effect of acidity. I followed your no pain eating plan and within two days I felt a marked difference in the pain in my joints. I found that I was no longer having to deal with nasal congestion and I also started having uninterrupted sleep.

I have already lost about 3 kgs and am looking at getting my weight right down.

Kind regards

Karen Du Preez

Hello Sherry,

My arthritis is very much better. My fingers don't hurt any more, though they are a little stiff. My knee is very much better, and so is my back. Oh yes, and I have completely ditched the ant-acids! The embarrassing gas problem has 'nearly' gone, but if I slip off the diet, it comes back!

Thank you!

Sherry

I feel much better on your Great Taste No Pain plan. My joints are less painful and I just feel better.

I have thoroughly enjoyed your e-mails.

Thanks so much for your website which I just chanced upon a couple of weeks ago.

Dear Sherry,

I have only been using your program for 8 days, but what a difference. I had an endoscopy on the 18th of June. Thought I was having a heart attack about 3 weeks before this. Went to ER and heart was fine, but they decided it might be esophogas hiatal hernia or ulcer so went to see a nurse practitioner.

She gave me a pill to take, which wasn't helping me with the pain in the gut at all. I took one the day after the Endoscopy and said I'm not taking any more of these pills (had had almost a months worth by then) because I'm not feeling any better.

That was the same day I went to WebMD.com to look up gastritis, and found your article. I tried you Great Taste No Pain plan.

I could tell the difference the next day. The pain went away, the soreness left, took about 3 days for bowels to get adjusted. I was still burping a little once in awhile, but maybe once every other day now. I've been sticking to the plan very faithfully.

Have a lot of energy and that is unusual as I have fibromyalgia. I do have good spells anyway, but this seems to be lasting. Which is wonderful.

I also have arthritis in the hands, and have splints to wear but I'm not wearing them now and the worst one (the left) is almost pain free.

Oh and best of all I've lost 4 1/2 lbs. since I started on the 21st. I need to lose about 16 lbs. to get back to 110 and I think I'm on my way now. After a hysterectomy about 20 years ago it's been hard to lose the tummy, but I did it once (using combinations, and avoiding some foods that a Naturopathic Dr. gave me.) I felt terrific then, but dropped it for different reasons. However, I knew that worked and this is similar but much better to figure out, control and come up with tasty meals.

Thank you so much.

Sherry,

I have been trying to get my family to eat like this for 10 years without success. Finally, because of stomach and joint pain, excessive weight, hypoglycemia, and depression, I got both my husband and son to try your Great Taste No Pain plan.

It certainly helped that your recipes are much better than any of the others I tried in the past. Both my husband and son have lost about 10 pounds each in the first 3 weeks. My husband's stomach and joint pains are much better, when he stays on the diet. My son's supposed hypoglycemia and depression are amazingly better. On the occasions when he doesn't eat properly, his body starts to show the signs of hypoglycemia and depression again. I have had fewer migraines than usual. In fact, I seem to have no migraines when I eat properly.

This is the best change I have made in my family's life.

Thanks,

Leslie Muir

Hi Sherry,

I can't believe how good it feels after several years to be able to digest my own food and have natural burps without feeling like I will vomit. I am now 59 and began having digestive problems in my late 20's. I would have heartburn and sharp pains in my stomach. I was also constipated most of the time. Over the years, I went through several ultra sounds, x-rays, tests for ulcers, colonoscopy, a test where they put a scope down to my stomach to look at it, and several allergy tests. The result was that they could not find anything wrong with my stomach or intestines and my diagnosis was gastritis and changed to GERD in 2001. During this time, I tried taking B-12 and folic acid after my evening meal as someone's family doctor had recommended that to her. It seemed to help some, but the pains came back. My family doctor and gastroenterologist put me on protonix. After fours years on it, I began having abdominal pains. I was then switched to Nexium and then when the insurance company didn't want to pay for it, I was put prilosec. I have been taking it for two years. After reading recently about how proton pump inhibiters increase the risk for hip fractures. I decided to find a way to get off the prilosec. I went to Google and searched GERD and found your website.

I started on your Great Taste No Pain plan 9 days ago and immediately quit taking the B12 and folic acid. I was leery about going off my prilosec as I didn't want to have that feeling of having to vomit every time I ate. The first seven days I stayed on your plan and kept taking prilosec. On the day eight and nine, I got brave and went off my prilosec. Your diet has helped my stomach feel lighter having no gas, bloating, or pains. I am now digesting my food without any help from the prilosec. What a great relief!!!!! I have lost 3 1/2 pounds in those nine days. I am sleeping through the night and feel more refreshed when I wake up in the morning. My energy level as also improved and I no longer have problems with constipation.

I have also been able to quit taking two ibuprofen every morning. I was taking them to help the stiffness and pain in the joints in my fingers. I no longer need them as my finger joints no longer feel stiff or painful.

Thanks again, Sherry, for giving us a natural way to solve our digestive problems.

Happy eating,

Charlotte Attenweiler
