I am 37 years old and almost a year ago, just before Thanksgiving 2008, I began to experience some discomfort at the top of my stomach. It would come and go, but as the days moved on the discomfort continued and became more frequent. I don’t know how to describe it except that it felt like there was something in there. In early December I finally went to the doctor, wondering if it was my gallbladder. Instead of doing any tests, my doctor put me on Zantac, just to make sure it wasn’t heartburn, and told me to come see him if it wasn’t better by the end of the month. I started taking the Zantac in the evenings and it didn’t seem to be helping. I stopped taking it for a couple of days right around Christmas, but the discomfort and pressure in my stomach was increasing. I decided to try the Zantac in the mornings before I ate breakfast. Within two days the acid was shooting up into my esophagus. I began belching and gurgling frequently. Right away my esophagus, at the base of my throat began to bother me. It felt as if there was something in there, so much pressure and discomfort, like something was stuck or pushing on my throat. As a result, I pretty much quit eating. I didn’t know what I could eat. It seemed everything I tried, except for cucumber sandwiches, sweet potatoes, or my home canned green beans, bothered me. The feeling in my throat was always there.
I went to the doctor again and this time they did a scan on my gallbladder. Nothing. Then a different gallbladder test, where they determined that it was slightly dysfunctional, but not bad enough to remove. So, I had an endoscope where I was diagnosed with esophagitis and GERD. I was given an H2 blocker and they pretty much said good luck and call us in a couple of weeks if it isn’t better. It never got better. I was loosing weight and feeling horrible.
I went back to the doctor again in early February and he suggested putting me on Reglan, a drug that would help my food to digest more quickly. I was to call him in two weeks if it didn’t help. My grandma had taken this drug that previous summer and it had seriously messed her up. There was no way I would do that to myself. I went home crying, so discouraged and so miserable. I called my husband and he told me to call a different doctor for a second opinion. Within a week I had my gallbladder out. My hopes were so high that I would get better, but it was not to be. The acid reflux did not go away, although they did say that my gallbladder was chronically inflamed.
In early March I was 25 pounds lighter, so miserable and still losing weight rapidly. I desperately began searching the internet for something that would help. At first I found a website that gave suggestions for trying things like a spoonful of raw honey or a red delicious apple. I tried them, but it didn’t take care of the problem. Still desperate, weak and malnourished, I resumed my search and came upon the Great Taste No Pain website. I was convinced that this would be the diet that would help me heal. I immediately ordered your plan. Everything that you said, Sherry, made so much sense. I had felt for a long time that the medication I was taking was working against me and you convinced me that it was true, so I stopped taking it. And oh how wonderful it was to be able to eat again!
I’d like to say that the diet fixed my problems immediately, but it didn’t. I have been following the Great Taste No Pain plan consistently for about seven months and have been taking your Super Shield for about four months. I can finally say that I am feeling almost normal, actually better than normal. I no longer have reflux and can feel that my esophagus has been gradually healing. Once in awhile something that I eat, or the quantity that I eat, will bother me, but for the most part, I’m feeling great and the pressure in my esophagus is basically gone! In addition to the physical healing I also have so much more energy and I’m learning how to be a responsible eater, something that was sorely lacking in my “former” life.
Thank you so much for making this information available. Why doctors don’t know about this diet is beyond me. I will continue to share your website with anyone who will listen. Our nation is so badly in need of getting back to natural foods and eating correct combinations. It saddens me greatly anytime I see someone who is overweight and thinks they’re healthy. That was me a year ago. I am now 50 pounds lighter and am determined to teach my children the correct and truly healthy way to eat.
Sincerely,
Heidi Metzger
Hi Sherry,
I'm 62 and for the past 40 years I have been deeply interested in 'healthy eating', according to whatever knowledge was currently available. It worked; e.g. people would remark on my beautiful complexion, lovely thick shiny hair, and as I grew older, I would frequently get compliments on my 'youthful looks'...BUT! In spite of all this, I HAD A POT-BELLY!!!
Then not so long ago I got onto your Great Taste No Pain method of food-combining, AND LO AND BEHOLD! FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE MY JEANS AND SKIRTS SUDDENLY BEGAN TO 'SIT WELL' ON ME.
Yes, I did lose 2 kilograms or so, but it seems that it was the LOSS OF MY POT-BELLY, MY BLOAT, that accounted for the far more dramatic change in my figure. In other words the loss of my 'tummy' made me feel as if I'd lost about 7 kilograms!!. My figure looks younger now than it has looked for years. I have a small waist now and can wear 'young' clothes again.
And all it took was a few painless adjustments in mealtime combination choices.
There have been other bonuses in my life as a result of food-combining:
When I follow your food-combining plan, my appetite remains under control, and my energy is increased: (instead of thinking of bed at 8 pm, I'm still 'bright and bushy-tailed' at 10.30pm).
There is a phenomenal improvement in my skin. When I stick to 'the food-combining way', my skin begins to glow again; in fact it seems to shed 15 years in only a few days! If this was a face cream, somebody could be making a fortune marketing it!

Hi Sherry,
Just wanted to let you know how great your Great Taste No Pain program is. For years, I had noticed that in the morning as soon as I woke up my abdomen was almost flat. However, as soon as I started eating, I would become bloated. By bed time I would look at the mirror and seemed much bigger.
Since I started the program, I have regular bowel movements, my abdomen stays flat, don’t get bloated, and have lost 10 pounds!!.
In the past I also experience some sort of panic attacks which I believe could’ve been in response to some food, but I haven’t experienced this situation lately. My mother has frequent panic attacks due to food.
Best Regards,
Angelica R.
Hi Sherry,
My wife and I have been using your Great Taste No Pain system for nearly a week now. I've already lost 10 lbs. She has a "very" delicate stomach we believe that has been "messed up" by doctors. Her pains have been greatly reduced.
Hopefully, soon they will be in her past!
Thank you!
Mike D.
I just completed my fourth day on your Great Taste No Pain plan. I contacted you recently after an internet search for constipation. I think I was looking for some laxative type remedy but what I got is so much better.
I've read some of the testimonials and they often say I was eating healthy but... well I was not eating healthy and I am so happy to learn more about how to do that. These 4 days began by eliminating unhealthy eating foods. I have a flatter stomach, a few pounds lost and most importantly no more constipation problems starting with the first day.
Thank you so much,
Marilyn Beck

Dear Sherry,
I have been struggling with acute diverticulitis attacks now for quite some time.
I had had four attacks just since August of this year and when the last one occurred the first week in September.....I decided I had had enough!!!
I had followed the doctors instructions to the tee and still I continued to be sick, not only from the diverticulitis but from the antibiotics they gave me to cure it.
I finally decided to do some researching on my own and discovered your Great Taste No Pain program.
I have been following it now for about four weeks. My stomach is 200% better and I have lost 16 pounds!!!
I have referred several of my friends to your web site that asked about your program after seeing my results.
Thank you so much for possibly saving my life.

Hi Sherry,
First I want to thank you! I have now been on your Great Taste No Pain plan for 3 weeks after being admitted to emergency and told I have diverticulitis. Just like everyone else, told not to eat seeds, nuts or will cause my intestines to get infected again. I was put on antibiotics, I was in so much pain and so weak, it took me a couple of days to get on my computer. When I did, I found your website and ordered your Great Taste No Pain plan.
Incredible I am now pain free. Most importantly it had been so long sense I felt good, I had forgotten what it was like. Every day I have more and more energy and feel happy again! I have been carrying around 10 extra pounds for the last couple of years and have lost 6 of the10. Every thing about me is better! My eyes have life in them again, my skin is better and poop 3 times a day!
People really need to know that you have to do your own research to save your own life. Our government and the pharmaceuticals count on us to be ill Big business Big money! I am not saying don't go to the Doctor we all need to be diagnosed and tested, but just don't take there word for everything they tell you. Dr's. Are not taught about nutrition. I have always taken minerals because I broke my neck in 2 places at 18.Dr's said I wouldn't walk, when I did said I would be in a wheel chair in five years and gave me lots of pain meds. I chose instead to work out see a sport Dr. and never take Pain meds, and am still walking. I am now 52 years young.
I new nothing about food combining and had always eaten meat, potato’s, pasta, fruit, veggies and bread all together....WOW Great Taste No Pain makes a lot of sense when you think about it.
Again thank you Sherry for your research!

Corinne
Hi Sherry,
In November of 2008 I was diagnosed with diverticulitis at age 45. I was having lower left abdominal pain and had a colonoscopy. The doctor put me on antibiotics and anti-inflammatory, this did help short term. I went back to the doctor again with the same round of meds and told to add more fiber to my diet. I have done several rounds of the meds and in June of 2009 I was planning to donate blood for battle of the badges and I was deferred because I was on antibiotics.
I went home that evening and stopped taking the meds and started really following your Great Taste No Pain plan and taking your Super Shield probiotics. Since June of 2009 I have not had any of the antibiotics, I still have occasional pain, nothing like in November 2008 that sent me to the ER, and I believe it is only when I cheat (as I like to call it) when I don't follow your plan.
Since November 2008 I have lost 61 pounds (from 224 to 163) This has helped me and my family so much and I am so glad I found it, I share my story with anyone who asks about how I lost so much weight (I do have some ask if I am sick) I often think I should ask just how fat they thought I was, it doesn't bother me when they ask, it just gives me a chance to share what has helped me.
It was also a great feeling when my daughter got married in September 2009 to like the way I now look.

A week and a half ago I suffered pain like I have never had in my life. About two weeks prior to this incident I was getting pain in my upper abdomen that would go away after a while. But then out of the blue I got this horrific pain. It finally passed and the next day
I found your website and started your Great Taste No Pain program. I was better immediately and have lost 5 pounds! Even though I've not been diagnosed with diverticulitis I believe I have it, my father did.
