My 84 year old husband broke his hip on April 7. While in the Hospital or the Skilled Nursing facility, he contracted a very severe infection of the blood which caused several strokes He lost his memory and was unable to talk or swallow. It is a miracle that he lived but the recovery has been long and slow. His memory has returned and his speech is improving. He can now swallow almost all but crunchy foods.
At 6’-2” with a normal weight of about 145, he was always a thin person. With the infection is weight dropped to 113. He was put on a life saving feeding tube and after 4 months he gained about 20 pounds.
When all of the antibiotics were finished and the feeding tube was finally removed, we were able to discontinue all of the medications - each of which had serious side effects.
However, he then lost 10 of the hard earned pounds due to continuing diarrhea and the swallowing difficulty. He had no appetite and it was difficult for him to get anything down. He was getting weaker and spent most of the time sleeping.
I was very worried that he would not recover after all of his hard work and struggles. I requested a referral to a nutritionist from his doctor. I was told that he didn’t need one and that he could eat anything that I eat.
I realized that a good diet was his only hope but didn’t know where to turn. So, I went online and found your Great Taste No Pain program. I can hardly believe that that was only 5 days ago. He is now eating 3 meals a day and is up most of the day.
It was obvious that the plan was working but I was still concerned that he might lose weight as most folks do.
Many thanks,
Mary Polhemus
Dear Sherry,
I am 61 years old and have been suffering since I was 13 with IBS. Last April I was awaken in the middle of the night with watery diarrhea and it has last 6 months. I was going 5,6 and even up to 10 times a day. After a few days of this I consulted my doctor. He said it was time for a colonoscopy and I agreed. After the test, the gastrointestinal doctor gave me the results of Microscopic Colitis. Both of my doctors reacted like what you said in your testimonial "There is no cure and you will just have to live with it".
I decided to do my own research and that is when I found your "Great Taste No Pain” plan. It has been a "MIRACLE". After 7 days I have lost 8 lbs but the most important part, I have no pain and diarrhea. My energy has soared. I am not exhausted and feel fantastic!
Thanks Sherry for writing this book and sharing it with us.

Hello,
I'd like to tell you that I feel as if my life has turned almost completely around. Instead of feeling as if I had to always plan and know where I was going, I am now like a regular, normal person who can move about freely without having to worry about getting sick. It is as if I have been given a new life.
This has broadened my ability to take advantage of opportunities to participate in my community, to take trips without having to worry, and to be more spontaneous about all of my activities. This has been very important to me at this particular time because we have very hard, cold winters here, so I have been able to be out and about during the nice weather.
I am so grateful I found out about your plan. At my age we aren't give many second chances, but I feel so much younger now and as if I have so many options I couldn't even consider before.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Sue Ellen Evans
Hello Sherry,
This is a true story about myself:
I always had trouble with heartburn, acid reflux and diarrhea after eating different foods. I hated to go out to eat or for that matter eats at someone’s home in which we were invited.
I decided to get order your Great Taste No Pain plan and see if this was just something that was good for you but maybe not for me. I started eating the way you suggest in your plan. I would say with in the next day I noticed I was and I never had acid reflux, I thought ok so it was good for this time, but we will see the next time. The next day I thought I would make myself a fruit smoothie that was fixed with orange juice and a mix of all the fruits that were mentioned in your recipe book, thinking the whole time I no I'm going to be sorry I ever decided to try this! I did it any way. The smoothie was very great tasting. I waited for the burning to start, and waited, and waited and nothing! From that point on I have been following your plan and I have to say I can eat things that I have stayed away from for a very long time.
When ever I get the chance to help someone else out I explain a better way for them, and just tell them they can check it out for themselves on your website.
I just wanted to say thank you so much for this information that I never even knew existed until now. I have even lost a few pounds and have only been doing this for about three weeks now.
Again thank you so much!!!

Sherry,
For the last twenty or more years I have had occasional bouts of abdominal cramps and diarrhea. I always attributed this to a stomach "bug" or something I had eaten and didn't think too much about it. However, this year and especially in the last two months, the diarrhea was becoming much more frequent, to the point of dictating my activities because I didn't want to be too far from the nearest bathroom. The episodes were sporadic and unpredictable. I became exhausted from trying to figure out what to eat and what not to eat. I was hungry a great deal of the time, but was hesitant to eat very much. My doctor diagnosed me with diverticulosis about three weeks ago and told me to take Metamucil once or twice daily. I found that hard to accept.
I began researching just as you had done and found your website. I immediately ordered your Great Taste No Pain program and have been putting into practice all the principles.
For five days, I had no diarrhea, nor those stomach "rumblings" that signaled that I would soon have to "dash" to the bathroom. Last night I met with two ex- workmate friends for dinner. I forgot to bring the little restaurant guide in the back of your cook book. Still, I did pretty well.
I am extremely grateful to you for your research and have already passed this information onto my friends, most especially a colleague whose mother has diverticulosis and has been told to “stay away from seeds". This prompted me to give her your website. No doubt you will hear from her soon.
Again, thank you so much.

Sherry,
I have been trying your Great Taste No Pain plan for a couple of weeks. I hadn't eaten salad for three years because of my diarrhea. I am now eating salad every day and feeling so much better. Today, I had all my children over for a meal and didn't follow the plan. I noticed immediately the difference in how I felt and the discomfort when I didn't follow your plan.
I am going right back on it tomorrow and am telling everyone about the success I've had in just two weeks.
Thanks again,
Betty Crane
Hi Sherry,
A friend had told me about Great Taste No Pain and at first I didn't listen. Then about two months later I heard her tell another friend about it and I decided to give it a try. I had been tested for everything under the sun because I suffered from abdominal pain and severe diarrhea.
They could not find a diagnosis so they told me that I had IBS. They did not give me any medication to treat it so I kind of stopped eating. But even when I did eat I would still get sick. When I finally started eating by proper food combining like you suggested in your Great Taste No Pain plan I definitely felt better. All the bad symptoms went away AND my nails started growing back strong again.
Any time I go off this way of eating I get sick and every time I go back on your plan it I feel better. It's that simple. It’s all good. I have more energy, I am thinner and I just plain feel good.
Thank you Sherry Brecsia for your wisdom and thanks to my friend for bringing me to you. I am ever so grateful!

Hi Sherry,
I have had a run this year with digestive problems. General stomach ache / variation between diarrhea and constipation / heartburn and an unsatisfactory visit to my GP.
Too many possibilities but no real clear directive so what to do to help myself has led to my taking your advice and following your Great Taste No Pain plan.
I am delighted to report that I am back to my more healthy self living a pain free life.
Thank you,
Jan Jarrett
Sherry,
I have more praise. I had a couple of bouts of diverticulitis last year and my husband who is 77 has had IBS since he was a child. Last month he had a severe bout of diarrhea that lasted over two weeks, ended up in the hospital for 6 days and they still could not find a medication or anything that would stop the diarrhea. I was already subscribing to your newsletter because of my diverticulitis but I wasn't eating properly, just letting it all go in one ear and out the other.
We had a vacation planned and knew it would have to be cancelled if his condition didn't improve drastically. Within two days he was better and we left for vacation. The wonderful thing is that he follows the Great Taste No Pain eating plan, which is something he has never done before, without my hounding him. It's so easy and he can have almost everything he likes, so he's doing it! I'm so proud of him. I'm following the plan too and we both feel great. We drove 4,500 miles on vacation and he never once had an accident, even though we were often many, many miles from a restroom. He's been wearing Depends for the last 6 months and now has been able to go back to just underwear. What a morale booster for him. He looks and acts 15 years younger. I'm telling all my friends with any problems.
Thank you, thank you!

Sherry,
I recently had an episode involving a severe indigestion problem. This painful problem had happened to me last December and I was forced to seek medical assistance. My doctor sent me to a specialist and after numerous tests (he wanted to hospitalize me, but I convinced him to treat me as an outpatient). The gastroenterologist told me that everything looked fine. Then why do I have so much pain and irregularity? He wasn't sure, but I did not have cancer? He had no further advice for me other than to "watch" what I eat. I am 55 years old, eat mostly vegetarian, and am very active. I wasn't sure what else to do.
This past year I tried to be more mindful about what I ate, but I still experienced indigestion, bloating, and gas much too often. I think I got used to having constipation and diarrhea. Then two weeks ago, here I was again in terrible pain and constipated. I got online and found your website. I have every symptom that you described and more. I immediately ordered your Great Taste No Pain plan. I received your plan three days ago and have read most of the instructions. Saturday and Sunday my husband and I had dinner invitations at friend's houses. Since I had read most of the instruction in your book, I tried to follow your rules as best I could.
In two days I am eliminating better than I can ever remember. My bloated stomach looks amazingly reduced. Your system makes perfect sense to me and I intend on changing my (and my husband's) eating routine. I am so glad I found someone, like you, that completely understands the solution. I it unfortunate that most doctors in the United States just don't get it!
