Everyone is different -- How do I know this will work for me?
We're all more alike than you
know. Different kinds of food require specific kinds of digestive juices to break them down in
your digestive system. And it's the same for
everyone. Some of your foods require alkaline juices and others only break down with acid juices. So when you eat these
"mis-combined" foods together,
the acid and the alkaline neutralize each other.
So
your stomach has to produce more acid to move the digestive process
along. When this occurs, all kinds of bad things
happen in the body, as you know.
The effect of combining your foods properly reduces acid,
creating a more alkaline, pH balanced state in your
body. Since we are all human and have the same
type of digestive system, every human being benefits
eating this way.
No matter whose body it is, certain foods cannot be eaten together at the same time because they can’t be digested efficiently. The only difference between people is what symptoms they will suffer
from. Some people (like I used to) get cramps, gas and bloating. Others get acid reflux, constipation or diarrhea. Still others get cancer. The list of illnesses
caused by imbalanced pH is lengthy. But when you address the cause by eating
to reduce acid—and not just mask the symptoms with drugs—there
isn't a person alive who does not feel better and whose
health improves dramatically.

Will I be expected to eat “rabbit food” – nothing but vegetables?
No. There are a great variety of foods you can eat…most likely, many or all of your favorites. You will love all the food you eat with Great Taste No Pain.
Can I still eat meat on this program?
Yes—as long as it is eaten in combination with the right other foods, you will not suffer pain and your body’s energy will soar.

What if I have diabetes? Can I follow this program?
Diabetes is a condition that requires careful monitoring of your diet.
Diabetes is a disorder that affects our metabolism (which is the way the body uses digested food for cell growth and energy.) Most of the food we eat everyday is broken down into glucose, a form of sugar in the blood. Glucose is the main source of fuel for the body.
After the digestion of food, glucose from that food passes into the bloodstream. In order for it to get into the cells where it can be used for growth and energy, the hormone insulin must be present. (Insulin is produced by the pancreas.)
When we eat, the pancreas is supposed to produce the right amount of insulin to move the glucose from our blood into our cells. In people with diabetes, however, the pancreas produces little or no insulin, or the cells don’t respond they way they should to the insulin that is produced. Glucose builds up in the blood, overflows into the urine, and passes out of the body. (That’s why urine tests are frequently performed with diabetics to see if they are “spilling sugar.”) Thus, the body loses its main source of fuel even though the blood contains large amounts of glucose.
The great news is that the eating principles described in “How To End Stomach Pain Forever, Even If Your MD Says, ‘No Way’” and the recipes contained in Great Taste No Pain (with the exception of a few desserts and beverages) are perfectly consistent with the dietary recommendations by the American Diabetes Association.
Below are dietary guidelines taken directly from the ADA’s website:
http://www.diabetes.org
- Eat lots of vegetables and fruits. Try picking from the rainbow of colors available to maximize variety. Eat non-starchy vegetables such as spinach, carrots, broccoli or green beans with meals.
- Choose whole grain foods over processed grain products. Try brown rice with your stir-fry or whole-wheat spaghetti with your favorite pasta sauce.
- Include dried beans (like kidney or pinto beans) and lentils into your meals.
- Include fish in your meals 2-3 times a week.
- Choose lean meats like cuts of beef and pork that end in "loin" such as pork loin and sirloin. Remove the skin from chicken and turkey.
- Choose non-fat dairy such as skim milk, non-fat yogurt and non-fat cheese.
- Choose water and calorie-free "diet" drinks instead of regular soda, fruit punch, sweet tea and other sugar-sweetened drinks.
- Choose liquid oils for cooking instead of solid fats that can be high in saturated and trans fats. Remember that fats are high in calories. If you're trying to lose weight, watch your portion sizes of added fats.
- Cut back on high calorie snack foods and desserts like chips, cookies, cakes, and full-fat ice cream.
- Eating too much of even healthful foods can lead to weight gain. Watch your portion sizes.
Every one of those suggestions is in agreement with the Great Taste No Pain eating lifestyle. (Note: We cannot support the encouragement to drink calorie-free “diet” drinks, as they contain aspartame or other artificial sweeteners, which are chemical “poisons” and have been proven to be harmful to the body. Water is a much better choice for a calorie-free drink.)
Great Taste No Pain takes the above guidelines one step further by instructing you how to put your meals together properly to accomplish efficient digestion. By eating the way the body was designed to eat, additional benefits you will see are weight loss (or maintaining a healthy weight), increased energy, and lower “bad” cholesterol—all of which are extremely important to someone who has diabetes.
I can’t live without pasta. Is pasta OK?
Yes—as long as it is eaten in combination with the right foods, you can eat
lots of pasta and you will still be pain-free.
Is this bland food? Vegetarianism? Low carb? Low fat?
No to all of the above. Not unless you want it to be. It’s delicious, gourmet-style “real” food.

How quickly will my stomach pain go away?
It can happen as soon as your first meal. It may,
however, take some people a few days if they have a large amount of wastes built up in their system from a lifetime of poor eating habits.
Will I have to spend all day in the kitchen?
No. Many of the recipes in Great Taste No Pain can be made in less than 30 minutes. Also, chances are good that you’ll be able to continue to eat most or all of your own favorite dishes that you’re already familiar with making/ordering out in restaurants.
Will this program interfere with my medication?
No. It’s eating everyday food like you do now, just in a healthier way. In fact, you will most likely be able to reduce your medicine and still feel better than you do now without it, since your body will be cleaner and have more energy to keep you healthier.
How soon can I stop my stomach medicines?
Eating properly combined meals is likely to alleviate your stomach problems VERY quickly, but we can’t give you medical advice on when to stop taking your medication. Your doctor and your body will tell you that.

Why didn’t my doctor tell me about this program?
Medical schools do not train medical students in the prevention of disease and maintenance of health. The emphasis of their training is on the treatment of disease once it occurs—in other words, drugs and surgery. Very few physicians ever mention anything about the role of diet in health…and those that do are usually holistic practitioners—not traditional MDs.
Will this make me tired like diets I’ve tried in the past have?
No. In fact, you should
notice a fairly immediate increase in energy. You felt tired on diets in the past for one of three reasons:
1- You weren’t eating enough or
2- You weren’t properly nourished (with junk/ processed/ boxed/ bagged/ frozen food) or
3- Your meals were not properly combined and your body was using all of your energy for digestion.
With Great Taste No Pain, you’ll have plenty of food, it will be nutritious (and delicious) and your meals will be combined in a way that is easy for your body to digest them…therefore,
providing more energy for your body to do other things!
I’m always tired/have low energy. Can this help? How?
Yes. It’s very possible that your tiredness and low energy is the direct result of eating too little, not being properly nourished (from processed foods), eating too much or eating miscombined meals which require a lot of energy to digest and leave you feeling tired. When you start eating delicious, nutritious foods, to the point where you are comfortably full, in a way that they are easily digested by the body, you’ll have a lot more energy than you’ve probably had in a long time.
Will this improve my strength? How? Why?
It’s very possible that any feelings of weakness and/or fatigue are the direct result of eating too little, not being properly nourished, eating too much or eating miscombined meals which require a lot of energy to digest and leave you feeling tired. When you start eating delicious, nutritious foods, to the point where you are comfortably full, in a way that they are easily digested by the body, you’ll feel stronger and have a lot more energy than you’ve probably had in a long time.

Do I need strong willpower to do this?
Do you need strong willpower to enjoy many or all of your favorite dishes, or some fantastic new ones, and finally be free of stomach problems?
I have a digestive disease—my doctor said so.
He says only medicine can help me. How can you say
this can help?
This science is not new. Hundreds of thousands of other
people are living proof. Plus, when I spent a full
7 days in the hospital, my own doctor (a prominent gastroenterologist) diagnosed me with Irritable Bowel Syndrome and insisted I needed the medicine he prescribed. I dared to go against medical advice and,
as a result, I have spent the last 15 years pain-free and medication-free.
Traditional doctors do know a lot…but
tragically most don’t understand or appreciate the role of
food in a person's overall state of health. The emphasis of their training is on the treatment of symptoms only—in other words, drugs and surgery.
Time to pull your head out of the sand and take control
of your own health. This website is the place to start.

Can this program cure disease?
Only you can answer that for yourself. Use the Great Taste No Pain method for 10 days and see for yourself how great you feel and how much more energy you have. Medical journals and the medical records of millions of
real people are filled with verifiable stories of diseases of all kinds miraculously disappearing when people have improved their diets.
You have nothing to lose and your health to gain by
trying it yourself.
Can it prevent disease?
A toxic internal environment is the breeding ground for many diseases, including various cancers. A healthy colon and bowels created by eating properly makes you many times less likely to
develop cancer as well as many other diseases.
The medical records of millions of people bear out this truth.
What if I have cancer, other diseases… can this help me?
The body uses much less energy in digestion when it’s fed properly combined meals. This leaves much more energy available for staying healthy and for healing illness and injury. Also, eating properly combined meals helps eliminate excess wastes and toxins out of your body. In laboratory tests, cancer cannot exist live in cells kept free of wastes—it can only grow in a toxic environment.
I don’t have time to cook fancy recipes. Can this be done with convenience foods?
Yes. “Convenience” foods such as frozen vegetables or canned tomatoes can be used in most of the recipes. We cannot, however, recommend foods that are heavily processed, full of chemicals and preservatives or are miscombined. They create acid in the body,
which causes pain and disease.
I hate to cook—can I still do this?
Yes. Many of the recipes take less than 30 minutes to make and are so easy, even a 12 year-old could make them. In addition, you can still be pain-free without cooking at all. It’s just a matter of eating what you eat now, just in a different order. Simple.
Is it difficult to learn and remember?
It’s so easy, a ten year
old learn it…Plus, you’ll get a manual and a wallet guide to help you if you need to be reminded, so you can keep it straight no matter where you are or what foods are available
to you.

Do I now need to take special supplements or colon cleanses?
No.
Will this interfere with/counteract supplements I’m taking?
No.
I take vitamin supplements now—will I be able to stop? Do I still need to take them?
Most people don’t get EVERY single nutrient they need from their food. You’d have to eat way too much. So yes, continuing to take vitamins/supplements will help ensure that your body gets what it needs.
My family is so fussy—and I don’t want to cook 2 different dinners. Help!
Good news! No need to cook 2 separate meals. You can likely continue to eat most or all of your family’s favorite dishes in this program. Also, the new recipes you can try are so scrumptious and mouth-watering that even the fussiest eaters will love them.
How can I get my family to buy into this?
You can get them to buy into it by telling them that they can continue to eat most or all of their favorite dishes in this program. Also, the new recipes in the book are so scrumptious and mouth-watering that your family won’t be able to resist. It is truly the most delicious food you ever have or ever will eat. Truly delectable.
I’m out of town a lot—can I still do the program while traveling?
Yes. Every restaurant I’ve ever been in has been willing to substitute side dishes at your request so you can easily make sure your meals are all pain-free.
How can I keep everything straight when I’m not at home?
You’ll be given a pocket guide to carry around with you everywhere you go. Making smart food choices will be a breeze, no matter where you are.
I’ve tried millions of diets before and they’re boring. How is yours different?
First of all, this isn’t a diet—it’s a lifestyle. And this lifestyle allows you to eat foods that are delicious, there’s a great variety of foods to eat, and you can even continue to eat most or all of your favorites.
Will I have to keep eating the same foods over and over?
No—there’s a giant variety of foods for which recipes are provided, plus you can continue to eat most or all of your current favorites, just in a different order.
Can I still do the program when I eat in a restaurant?
Yes, absolutely. Everywhere you dine.
How will I know what to order in a restaurant?
The pocket guide in the back of the recipe book will help you make intelligent choices, allowing you to eat delicious food while suffering no pain at all.
Will I be hungry all the time?
No—you will have more than enough to eat AND will be properly nourished, so your body will not trigger the hunger signal. When you properly combine your foods, you can actually eat more food without feeling bloated or getting tired.
I have an appetite—will I get enough food on this program?
Yes—more than you can eat.
Where did this whole idea come from?
Food combining as we know it today was originated by Dr. William Howard Hay, a New York physician. After graduating from NYU Medical College in 1891, Dr. Hay spent 16 years specializing in surgery. He then developed a kidney condition called Bright’s Disease, and after having no success in curing it through traditional medicine, he set out to find alternative methods to rid himself of the disease.
He discovered food combining, which concerns itself with eating in such a way to be in harmony with the physiological manner in which different foods are digested by the human body. He cured his Bright’s Disease by eating this way and went on to become a well-known author and lecturer.
Is this program approved by the FDA?
There’s nothing for the FDA to approve. It’s simply a matter of what you eat with what and when.
Why does it work?
Because it is a way of eating that respects and works in harmony with how different digestive juices are required to digest different foods. When the body is allowed to function the way it was designed to, instead of desperately fighting the effects of unhealthy, processed and miscombined foods, it responds with health—no pain, no gas, no bloating, no build-up of wastes, sickness, weight
stability and more.
