Spring is well upon us. That means people are dieting and
exercising trying to lose pounds for a wedding, class
reunion or bathing suit season.
But what that really means is there are a lot of
miserable, starving and sore-muscled people out there now.
So here's an idea to stop this annual spring madness:
Stay trim and in shape ALL year, every year.
Think about what that would mean:
- No more "fat clothes" and "skinny clothes" in your
closet--they would all be skinny ones.
- No more starvation from existing on just rabbit food (or
worse yet-Slim Fast) to take off weight in a hurry.
Instead, you could enjoy great meals and a consistent
number on the scale.
- No more worrying about looking good for those wedding
pictures or your high school chums--because you would look
good every single day.
- No more crippling sore muscles from working out for the
first time in 12 months, because you'd be fit and strong
all year long.
It's MUCH easier than you think...and here are the best
ways to ensure your success.
First, the 5 Sherry-isms for for year-round fitness:
1. Exercise at least 4 times per week.
2. Keep it realistic--don't commit to running 5 miles a
day if you've never run before. Start slowly and build up.
3. Pick something you like and do it with a friend if
possible. I run at 6:30 in the morning with my friend
Liana and we have a ball. It's not drudgery--I look
forward to it.
4. Anything is better than nothing. Even if all you feel
you can do is walk, then walk. Same goes if you're short
on time--if all you have is 15 minutes, then a 15 minute
workout is better than none at all.
5. Don't fill up. It's good to have some food in your
system (like a banana) before you work out, but don't eat a
huge meal. Nothing the human body does demands more energy
than digestion, so if you eat a big meal and then work out,
it's a double negative--you're taking energy away from the
stomach and will end up with poorly digested food (and gas,
cramps, etc.) AND you won't have the energy you need for a
good workout.
As far as taking off the pounds and keeping them off
without misery, there's just one answer: Great Taste No
Pain...
Real food in the correct combinations to keep acid low
which makes sure you get all the nutrients you need to feel
nicely full and satisfied (so you're hungry less often--
less food = less you).
Easy, comfortable digestion to help everything "move
along" as it should from end to end...and clean out some
built-up wastes along the way (those add pounds too).
Delicious, mouth-watering meals that make you feel like
you're "cheating"-but you're not. You're just eating the
way your body was meant to eat, and the pounds effortlessly
drop off.
