I received an email yesterday from a client (Jil) asking 3
very good questions about Great Taste No Pain.
I love when people ask questions like Jil's. It's clear
they want to be sure they're following the program
correctly so they can start feeling great right away, and
that really jazzes me.
So for Jil's benefit, and anyone else who might be
wondering the same things, here are her questions and the
answers:
=============
Question #1:
=============
How are tofu and soy products categorized, and can they be
mixed with brown rice or starches?
Answer:
Tofu and soy products are proteins, but since they're
alkaline, they combine well with brown rice and other
starches.
This is explained in greater detail on page 15 in the
manual "How to End Stomach Pain Forever, Even If Your MD
Says, 'No Way!'" and page 4 of the guide "Foods That Create
Acid And Foods That Take It Away."

Question #2:
============
Can I combine beans with corn tortillas? I love to make
vegi tacos and use beans as the protein source.
Answer:
Absolutely--that's one of my family's favorite meals too!
Page 15 of "How to End Stomach Pain Forever, Even If Your
MD Says, 'No Way!'" explains why you can do this, and page
12 of the "What To Eat With What" guide lists beans and
tortillas as a good (stomach-friendly) combination.

Note that beans are very high in fiber and also have a
sugar in them that isn't digestible by the body...that's
why they've gotten their reputation for sometimes causing
gas. And that's why it's doubly important to eat them with
the proper other foods, to keep the chances of any
'tooting' to a minimum!
============
Question #3:
============
I don't remember being able to mix beans and rice--am I
correct that I can't mix these two?
Answer:
No, you're incorrect on that one. Beans and rice mix
perfectly well together, for the same reason that beans and
corn tortillas mix well together.
Page 15 of "How to End Stomach Pain Forever, Even If Your
MD Says, 'No Way!'" talks about beans and how they're
digested, and page 10 of "What To Eat With What" lists
beans and rice as a great combination.

To your health,
Sherry
PS: Julie thinks the program is simple--and she feels
the best she has in months:
*******************
Sherry,
I recently had gall bladder surgery. Although it was done
laproscopically, it took a while for my digestive system to
recover. When it did I was in such pain like I had never
felt before. And I was belching all the time, even on an
empty stomach.
After a CT scan I was told I have diverticulosis, which
was quite aggravated from the surgery. I read that most
adults have this condition and don't even know it. This is
how I found you--looking for more information on
diverticulosis.
I'm using Great Taste No Pain and am well on my way to
returning to a better than 'normal' life. Frankly, I have
considered myself as having a healthy diet the past 4-5
years. I guess I just was kidding myself. Comparing
myself to other people made my diet look pretty healthy,
but it was just so-so.
Since discovering your system and adopting the practices I
now CRAVE fresh fruits and vegetables, and although your
plan allows it, I've not even wanted red meat.
I've learned what most 'processed foods' are and believe
the effects of these foods on your body keep it from doing
what it is designed to do.
I'm excited about the program and already feel healthier.
Best of all, no more belching and my digestive system is
the best it's been in months!
Thank you, Sherry for bringing this message to people like
me. It really is simple and has a profound effect on your
life.
