Answers for autism

Hello my friend:

One of the most heartbreaking things in our world today is
a child with autism.

Autism has been on an alarming rise since the late 1970's.
The rate of autism is 60 times what it was 30 years ago,
with the largest increases occurring over the last 10 years. 

Back in the 1970's, 2 to 3 out of every 10,000 US children
developed autism; now it's 1 out of 150.

Although they're refuted by big pharma, the medical
community and the Center for Disease Control, there are
some factors associated with autism that can't be ignored
or brushed off as coincidence:

=======
Mercury
=======

It is a proven fact that exposure to mercury can cause
immune, neurological, sensory, motor and behavioral
dysfunction--all traits of autism.  Thimerosal (a mercury-
based preservative) in children's vaccinations has become a
major source of mercury in children.  It's extremely likely
that many of those children have received an amount of
mercury that exceeds what would be considered "safe."

And even though US health officials finally acknowledged
in 1999 that children were being exposed to mercury through
vaccinations, all vaccinations still are not mercury-free.
In addition, mercury is added to flu shots too.

Casein
======

Studies have shown that there's a connection between
autism and an inability to break down casein, the protein
found in milk and milk products.  When it's not properly
broken down, casein produces morphine-like compounds that
are absorbed by the brain and cause its cells to
malfunction. 

Casein is absorbed by 32 different areas of the brain,
including the areas that control hearing, vision and
communication, and is a likely contributor to the
behavioral symptoms of autism.

Gluten
======

Similar to casein, gluten is a protein found in all wheat,
rye, barley, and most oat products.  To most autistic
children, gluten (and casein) are basically like poison.
They are unable to digest them, they leak into the
intestines where they're absorbed into the system and make
their way to the brain. 

The resulting effect is that many autistic children are
"drugged" on wheat and milk products, as if they were on an
IV of morphine.
 
Casein and gluten are also very addictive, so the autistic
child wants more and more of the pretzels, crackers, milk,
bread and ice cream that they love so much. 


The actress Jenny McCarthy recently reported that her 5
year-old son Evan had been healed from autism through a
combination of non-conventional measures:  A casein-free,
gluten-free diet, vitamins, metal (mercury) detox and anti-
fungals to help the yeast overgrowth in his intestines.

Even though his caregivers were amazed, neither the Center
for Disease Control, the American Academy of Pediatrics,
nor any other health authority has asked to evaluate and
understand how Jenny's son recovered.  Instead, they simply
claim that he was misdiagnosed and never had autism to
begin with.

Typical.

Here's a story that’s a little closer to home for me:

One of my staff members (I'll call her Jackie) has a 5
year-old autistic son.  She is positively one of the most
loving, attentive Moms I've ever met, and will stop at
nothing to help her son (whom I'll call Jimmy).

Prior to November 2007, Jimmy, at age 5, knew three words--
eat, drink and Wiggles (yes, the Disney Channel show!).

He barely slept at night, had zero interaction with other
children and did not even know how to play on a swing set.
He had daily diarrhea and was still in diapers.  He was
very withdrawn and would not go anywhere without Jackie, a
family member or a teacher.

In November 2007 Jackie started him on a gluten-free,
casein-free diet and began vitamin supplementation.

Now, 6 months later, Jimmy is speaking in full sentences.
He participates in "circle time" with his kindergarten
classmates and walks in line with them.  He walks to speech
therapy classes (in school) all by himself.

He's potty trained, has normal bowel movements, and sleeps
like a baby every night. 

He even knows how to make funny faces and giggle...just
like a typical little boy.

He continues to make strides every single day, but his
pediatrician refuses to acknowledge the connection between
what Jackie is doing for him and his drastic improvement. 

As a matter of fact, Jimmy had a temporary relapse last
week likely due to getting a cookie or cracker (with
gluten) from another child.  He was upset, not sleeping,
acting up in school and not cooperating with his teachers. 

When Jackie took him to the pediatrician (just to rule out
a physical problem), their answer was to put him on a mood
stabilizer and sleeping pills.  Never mind trying to
determine what may have set him off--just drug a 5 year-old
with anti-psychotics and sleeping pills. 

Jackie knew enough to say no.  And this week Jimmy is back
to normal and feeling better--without being drugged.

If you have or know of someone who has an autistic child,
there are loads of references on gluten-free and casein-
free diets, as well as the vitamin supplements that can
help.  In most US states you can opt out of vaccines--check
to see what options you may have. 

Don't let the little ones be drugged for life or believe
they're hopeless because they're autistic--there are other
answers.  Thousands of autistic children have been helped,
and yours can be too.

Just ask Jenny McCarthy...and Jackie.

Dear Sherry:

I have been on your program now for six days and am
feeling so much better. 
 
I was diagnosed with GERD and was handed pills.  No
