The cause of high health insurance and drug costs

Hi my friend,

Very often to get the real answer to a health challenge
we need to go beyond the advice of our doctors.

Now don't get me wrong--the right doctor can be worth
their weight in platinum.  But remember they're human
too...no one doctor knows everything.

Same is true for drugs...

Medicines can save lives.  But they are also the single
biggest taker of lives.  In 2007, in the US alone, over
250,000 people died BECAUSE OF the prescription medication
they were taking.  The medication was the CAUSE of death.
So families win giant settlements from the doctors,
hospitals and the drug manufacturers. And this jacks up
insurance costs as well as the cost of drugs.

And in 2008, the death toll will be even larger. So expect
even higher premiums and higher prescription costs.

Problem is, drugs are often seen as the ONLY answer...
and too many times are prescribed when they're either
unnecessary or they're handed out by doctors who don't
bother to find out what other drugs you're taking.  This is
one of the reasons our health insurance costs are so high.

=====

A couple days ago I received the letter below from a
client (Melanie) who got very bad advice and even worse
treatment from her doctor for her diverticulitis.

Four years ago he suggested removing a bunch of her colon
(at a very, Very, VERY nice fee for him) and recently she
spent a week in the hospital...again, for an enormous
amount of money.

Both times she decided instead to take matters into her
own hands.

And is she glad she did!  See what she says:

Hi Sherry:

I am only 44 and at 40 I was diagnosed with
diverticulitis.  At age 40 the doctor told me that my colon
looks like a 60 year-old and that I would have to have
surgery.

I refused to let them do it--I am too young.

I changed my diet and was fine for 4 years.  But I just
had another attack in August, this time much worse than the
last time.  I was admitted into the hospital after not
having a bowel movement for 5 days.  I was so sick that I
thought I was going to die.

After about a week of them pumping me full of antibiotics
and morphine I wasn't getting any better.  As a matter of
fact I was getting worse because guess what morphine does
to you?  It constipates you more.

I got so mad that I checked myself out of the hospital.  I
decided to beat this on my own.

Then I found you.

This wonderful program has made me feel better than I have
in years.  I have lost about 30#s and my bowels are
regular.  Do you know that I have not been regular for at
least 10 years?

Thank God for you and your wonderful pain-free plan.  You
are a God send.

Thank you, Sherry

Sincerely,

Melanie Lewis

SB:  Melanie, wow!  Thank God you persevered and found the
real answer to your problem.  You're now on a great path to
a healthier life free of diverticulitis attacks.  All my
best to you.

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

PS:  Margaret finally found the answer to her IBS:

Sherry:

I have suffered from IBS my since my early 20's  - I am in
my 60's now.  Two years ago I had a large bowel cancer
operation with Lymph Node involvement.

Since then I have researched diets for cancer and have
been eating organic as much as possible.  I've been very
disappointed as my IBS has been making eating some of the
foods (fruits and vegetables) very uncomfortable.

I have now tried your Pain-Free plan and am really
thrilled at the results--it is just amazing.  I don't have
any backache when I wake up in the morning and I am no
longer bloated and windy.

Thanks so much.

Margaret Nelson, New Zealand

SB:  Fantastic Margaret.  And a Roger on the organic.
Great decision.  But as you've seen, even going organic is
not a full solution.  Eating all your foods with the right
OTHER foods is one of the biggest keys. Keep it up, and
your health will continue to get better and better.
