Today in my karate class, one of the students I teach
(Jon) asked to be excused for a moment.
When he returned he told me that he was getting a migraine
and had to take some Imitrex before it came on full force.
I told him I used to get migraines too, and my doctor had
me on Fioricet.
After class Jon came up to me and said, "It just hit me--
You said you USED to get migraines. So you don't get them
any more?"
I told him I didn't.
"How on earth did you get rid of them?" he asked. "I've
been plagued with them for years. What's your secret?"
I told him that they disappeared as soon as I changed my
diet to more alkaline foods and started combining my meals
in a different way.
I explained to Jon that having an acid pH in your body
(called acidosis) can cause or contribute to a whole range
of illnesses and diseases.
You see, when you're in a state of acidosis (from eating
too much acid-forming food and badly combined foods) your
whole body is in a constant fighting state.
All of your organs are stressed, since they're meant to be
in an alkaline environment and can't work properly in an
acid environment.
Your body is working overtime trying to excrete the excess
acid through the urine, nose, lungs or skin, or neutralize
it with minerals from your bones and muscles.
Toxic wastes build up and are transported throughout the
body by the bloodstream.
Your immune system is compromised, so you are much more
susceptible to viruses and bacterial infections you come
into contact with.
And as a result of all of this, the body, naturally,
begins to break down. That's when sickness and disease
starts to take over.
Migraine headaches are just one of MANY conditions that
are associated with acidosis.
But the good news is the body has an incredible ability to
respond quickly when you take the acid away.
That's what happened to me. I was acidic as all heck 16
years ago but I didn't know it.
I was taking medicine for all three things, suffering
daily, yet unbeknownst to me, I continued to do the very
thing that caused all of those conditions, day in and day
out.
Once I learned which foods were alkaline and how to
correctly combine my meals, I felt as if I had been given a
new life.
Well, needless to say, after this conversation Jon asked
me how to get Great Taste No Pain.
And I can hardly wait till the day that he comes to karate
and says, "Hey Sherry--my migraines are gone!"
It's just a matter of time.
To your health,
Sherry Brescia
PS: Tricia didn't know what she was doing wrong either,
but now she feels great:

Hi Sherry,
After having an unreasonably bad digestive day recently,
I sat down at my computer to find out something about what
was happening to me. That is when I found your site
- http://www.greattastenopain.com/great.asp and I'm so
glad I did.
What the heck, I figured-eating food sure does beat taking
pills.
Now mind you, I was just like you as far as watching what
I ate. I have never been a "live to eat" kind of person.
Low fat, lots of greens and grains, no dairy, but still had
bouts of stomach pains and always, ALWAYS a bloated,
distended stomach after eating. (I would try to unbutton
my pants unnoticed, if out in public!)
I became even more obsessed with what I ate. I didn't
know what I was doing wrong.
Just as I was about to make an appointment with my doctor,
I found your site. It's been almost two weeks now and I've
never felt better. My tummy is so flat--even after eating!
My pants stay buttoned after eating, too.
