Saved from the surgeon's knife

Hi my friend,

Continuing yesterday's email topic of diverticulitis, I'd
like to tell you what you need to know to prevent possible
life-altering surgery.

It's estimated that 1 in 12 people with diverticulitis
will get cut open because of it.

Those aren't very good odds.

Surgery is usually done on people who have either
recurring attacks of diverticulitis or complications (such
as an infection spreading, which can be life-threatening).

The surgery that's done for diverticulitis is called a
bowel resection.  That means a doctor opens you up, cuts
out the section (or sections) of your colon with the
inflamed "pouches" (diverticulosis) and reconnects the
remaining sections of your colon.

That's what you get...if you're lucky.

Other people aren't as fortunate.

Some people have a LOT of diverticulitis in their colon.
As a result, the doctor has to remove so much of the colon
that there's not enough left to piece together and have
normal bowel functioning.

And the person ends up with a colostomy.

A colostomy is when a hole (called a stoma) is cut in the
abdomen and the remaining section of the colon is connected
to the hole instead of the rectum (your butt).

So instead of having a path for normal bowel movements,
the wastes ("doo doo") pass through what's left of the
colon and out the hole into a bag, which is taped outside
your body.

Nice, huh?

This might not be the most terrible thing in the world if
people could control WHEN the "doo doo" comes out...but
they can't.

People with a colostomy must "irrigate" themselves daily--
pour water into their stoma (stomach hole), put a bag over
the stoma and wait for the wastes to come out.  This whole
process can take an hour or more--everyday!

And once that's done, there's no guarantee that more
wastes won't come out.  So the person needs to glue a bag
over the stoma and wear it ALL THE TIME to catch any more
"doo doo" that comes out uncontrollably at ANY given moment.

I know this is graphic, but sadly it's the life that many
people live...

...including my own mother.

(She didn't have diverticulitis, but instead had a colon
resection because of cancer.)

And the maddening part of ALL of this is that the surgery
(and possible colostomy) does absolutely NOTHING to stop
the development of more diverticulosis pouches that can
again get inflamed and become diverticulitis.

That's right.  The terrible cycle continues.

Just because the existing pouches (diverticula) are cut
out doesn't mean more won't form.

They will...

...unless you stop doing what creates to begin with.

That's right.  You know the answer.  If you want to help
keep your colon healthy and free of disease, you must eat a
diet high in alkaline foods and correctly combine your foods.

It's not rocket science.  Eat in a way that allows your
foods to digest comfortably and completely, so wastes can
pass nice and easy through the colon without getting hard
and stuck.

It's simple.  And easy.

In no time, you'll be able to rattle it off in your sleep.

I've made it my life's mission to educate people about how
to improve their entire state of health.

And I teach you all you need to know to become more
alkaline and practically eliminate any risk of having any
more diverticulitis problems in Great Taste No Pain

That's right.  The one-time tiny investment that isn't
much more than a single co-pay at a doctor's office that
will help keep you healthy for LIFE.

Get it.  Use it.  You have nothing to lose and a lot of
living to do.

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

PS:  Linda has successfully avoided surgery for her
diverticulitis:

Sherry,

I thought that you might like to include my diverticulitis
story.

I had an attack three years ago, and then two this past
summer.  I was told that after three attacks, they remove
the offending part of the colon!

I was also told that if I waited, I might need emergency
surgery and a temporary colostomy!

I found your program on the Internet and have followed it
since then.  I feel great and lost 11# in three weeks.  I'm
sure that the feeling and the weight loss will continue.

Thanks for saving me from an unnecessary surgery.

Linda
