IBS, water and kidney transplants
When clients ask me questions, I consider the answers
seriously before blurting out an answer that might harm
them.
You see, I know what it's like to be sick and get no
answers other than pills that don't work (or cause other
problems) or alleged "magic cures" that are a waste of
money.
So I try to help everyone I possibly can with solutions
that REALLY work.
When I read Mick's question this morning, I could feel the
concern for his wife in his words:
*******************
Good morning:
My wife Sarah is suffering very badly from what the Doctor
has said is IBS. I have requested your Pain Free in 1 Day
plan and would like to clarify whether she can drink water
at any time.
An added problem for her is that she had a kidney
transplant about 12 years ago, so hydration is very
important. She is really hoping that your system will help
her as when she gets an attack she feels very poorly.
I look forward to your reply.

SB: Mick, first I've got to say I love your first name,
as that's my son's name too.
You've done a great thing for Sarah by getting Pain-Free
in 1 Day.
You see, by eating the way that I teach in Great Taste No
Pain (and Pain-Free In 1 Day), Sarah will see a tremendous
improvement in her IBS symptoms VERY quickly. (For me, it
was the very first meal...and I've been IBS-free for going
on 17 years.)
It will make a huge difference in her health to no longer
have the overproduction of acid and incomplete digestion
(due to acidic foods and bad food combinations) wreaking
havoc in her digestive tract and causing horrible IBS
symptoms.
As far as water goes, yes, by all means, she should be
drinking lots of it. Most people should drink at least 5-8
cups a day.
You should just make sure that her water is alkaline,
because most tap waters are acidic due to acid rain and the
chemicals added by municipalities.
The best sources of alkaline water are distilled water or
filtered water (using reverse osmosis, Brita filters or
similar filtering).
You can also make water more alkaline by getting special
alkalizing drops (available at health food stores) or
adding a squeeze of fresh (not processed) lemon juice to
it. Lemon juice is alkaline in the body, not acid, as many
people believe.
She should also AVOID drinking a large quantity of water
WITH her meals, as that will dilute the digestive enzymes
and interfere with good digestion.
I see you mentioned she had a kidney transplant 12 years
ago--that makes it even more crucial that she eats how I
teach in How To End Stomach Pain Forever, Even If Your MD
Says, "No Way!"
Here's why:
The kidneys are responsible for filtering acid and toxins
out of our blood and dumping them into our urine to be
eliminated.
When we eat a diet of mainly acidic foods or badly
combined foods, this results in a LOT of acid in our blood
and bodily tissues.
That puts a enormous strain on the kidneys to filter out
all that acid. Plus the kidneys (and all of our bodily
organs) cannot function well in an acid environment--they
must be in an alkaline environment.
That means that acid is an even greater concern for
someone who has had a kidney transplant--it's essential to
keep those kidneys healthy and working well.
Mick, Sarah is on the right path.
By using Great Taste No Pain (i.e.: eating more alkaline
foods and correctly combining her foods),
- http://www.greattastenopain.com/great.asp she'll be
making her pH more alkaline, keeping acid low in her body
and giving those precious kidneys a break.
You've done a great thing for her...and for yourself.
Please write again and tell me how Sarah is doing.
To your health,
Sherry Brescia
PS: Hooray--Dianne feels great in the tummy and has more
energy:

Dear Sherry,
I am writing to thank you for the information received in
your Great Taste No Pain plan and recipe book.
I feel the money I have spent is worth its weight in gold.
You said I would feel better when taking the correct foods
into my mouth, and sure enough, you were right.
I have continued with the food plan daily, and hooray, I
feel so much better in the tummy, no more bloating, and my
pains have disappeared.
My energy levels have risen dramatically, and I find I am
more energetic now than I have in a long while.
I definitely will be eating this way from now on.
No more pain! Thank you!
Regards,
Dianne Griffiths
