I don't know what the weather is like where you are, but
here in Central New York it's a frozen tundra.
I woke my 10 year-old son Mick up for school, thinking he
might balk about having to get out of a warm bed.
I was wrong.
Instead he woke up cheerful and started his day with some
fresh-squeezed orange juice.
Then he had some breakfast frittata, grabbed his correctly
combined home-packed lunch, and off to school he went with
a grin on his face.
Is he inherently different from any other 10 year-old kid?
No. He's just fed properly, and THAT makes all the
difference in the world in how he feels from head to toe.
What got me thinking about Mickey's disposition this
morning was this question I saw in our support inbox when I
got to the office:
Q: "Is this (Great Taste No Pain) safe for a 10 year-old?"
A: Yes.
Not only is feeding your kids mostly alkaline, well-
combined meals a good idea, it's a MUST if you want them to
be free of sickness, obesity, pain and drugs.
Consider this: Kids' digestive systems are no different
than adults'. Our organs don't suddenly "change" somehow
when we get older. We're exactly the same structurally at
10 as we are at 90. We just get a bigger.
And eating acidic foods and acidic food combinations
wreaks havoc on kids' bodies the same as it does with adults.
Our bodies are slightly alkaline by design. They need to
stay alkaline to be healthy. This is crucial when you're
10 as well as 40, 60 and even 90.
Acidity in the body causes pain, inflammation, sickness
and disease at ANY age.
Why do you think acid reflux, GERD, allergies, migraines
and obesity are all on the rise in kids?
Each and every one of those diseases is a direct result of
an acidic body.
Since kids' diets have become increasingly made up of
acidic processed food, fast food, soda and ridiculous meal
combinations, kids are now getting all the nasty digestive
issues that used to only plague the elderly.
And they'll be sickly adults too, and likely to die long
before they should.
Acidity and a poor diet affect the mind too.
Having too much acid throughout the body has been linked
to depression.
A low magnesium level is linked to attention deficit,
autism, depression, fatigue and learning disabilities.
Low iron levels cause poor brain functioning and erratic
behavior.
Zinc helps balance blood sugar, so kids that are low on it
crave sweets. It can also lead to anorexia nervosa,
bulimia, frequent headaches, depression serious enough to
consider suicide, and angry, aggressive behavior.
Is it any wonder that prescriptions for kids for Prozac
and ADHD drugs like Ritalin continue to skyrocket?
Our kids aren't sick--they're malnourished.
And are the drug companies LOVING it. They delight in
seeing your kids suffering from eating an acidic diet so
they can keep pumping chemicals down their throats.
Think about that next time you want to zip through the
drive-thru for a fast meal, or send them off to school with
"Lunchables" in their lunchbox.
Kids NEED real food with all its nutrients. They need to
keep acid low to prevent inflammation and disease, and help
them better absorb the nutrients from their foods.
They need vitamins and minerals from food so their brains
can work.
The GTNP manual "How To End Stomach Pain Forever Even If
Your MD Says, 'No Way!'" has great kids' lunch ideas and
beverage ideas.
Plus it's so easy, even a 10 year-old could do it.
My son knows exactly which meal combinations are good and
which are bad.
Wherever he is, he happily makes choices that he knows
will keep him feeling great.
The question above shouldn't be, "Is this safe for a 10
year-old?"
It should read: "Is it safe for a 10 year-old to be
without it?"
To your health,
Sherry Brescia
PS: Larry is pain-free and 8 pounds lighter:

Sherry:
I am am totally pain free since I started Great Taste No
Pain.
I have lost 6 - 8 lbs with out even trying, I have more
energy and amazingly, I never feel hungry.
After suffering with diverticulosis/diverticulitis for
many years, and not realizing what I was doing wrong in my
eating patterns, now I finally know how to put meals
together easily and feel great.
I've tried your recipes, and have enjoyed the various
varieties that you suggest.
I have the A with B list & the A with C list I have just
about memorized, & it sure makes a difference when eating
out to refer to your mini wallet card.
Thanks for your daily e-mails...they give me encouragement
and I am constantly motivated to do what's right and
sensible.
