The last of nature's mistakes
(or 'when in doubt, cut it out)

Recently I talked about how the appendix and gallbladder
are typically viewed as mistakes of nature, when in fact
they are anything but.

There's one more body part that is frequently snip-snipped
because of the "trouble" it causes, and it's seemingly
useless role in the body.

It's our tonsils.

The tonsils are part of our lymphatic system...and they're
NOT useless at all.

Here's why:

First of all, if you're like most people, you know that we
have lymph nodes, glands and stuff, but you're not 100%
sure of what the lymphatic system does.

Think of the lymphatic system as the garbage truck that
comes through your neighborhood each week.

This "garbage truck" is made up of countless nodes and
glands, the thymus gland, the thoracic duct, spleen, bone
marrow, tonsils and miles of lymphatic vessels.  These
vessels contain 3 times more lymph fluid than blood.

The garbage truck does its job by filtering and purifying
our bloodstream, cleansing wastes from our tissues, organs
and 100 trillion cells, and searching out and destroying
any harmful materials that might enter the body.

Then the garbage truck takes the wastes and brings them to
one of our 4 "dumping grounds"--the "organs of elimination"
(bowels, bladder, lungs and skin)--for elimination from the
body.

The lymphatic system has been called the heart of the
immune system because of its crucial role in keeping the
body clean and destroying dangerous substances.

Now for the tonsils:

The largest nodes in our lymphatic system are the tonsils--
and there are actually more than two.

The most common tonsils are the ones everyone knows about
in the throat, but there's also one in the space above the
throat and behind the nose (called the adenoids), there are
some surrounding the tubes in each ear, and one in the
larynx (or voice box).  There's also tonsil tissue at the
base of the tongue.

All of the tonsils are connected by lymphatic vessels and
make up a protective ring that defends our oral and nasal
areas from bacteria and other harmful pathogens.

Does that sound like a mistake to you?

Now sometimes the lymph system gets overloaded with wastes
(from eating too many acid-creating foods) and when it
can't keep up with its job, the tonsils fill up with fluid,
get larger and HURT.

Voila--tonsillitis.

This is simply a warning signal that the level of waste in
the body has reached a critically high level.

And since most of the body's waste is generated from the
food we eat, guess what needs to change.

Correctomundo... the foods that are inserted in the mouth.

But what is typically done instead?

Snip-snip, out come the tonsils...and here, have a bunch
of jello or ice cream afterwards (both of which add to the
acidic, toxic waste pile that caused the tonsillitis to
begin with).

And sometimes the adenoids are removed too, just for the
heck of it, so you get "T & A" (get your mind out of the
gutter--that means tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy).

Can you see the insanity in this?  How could you not?

Just another fine health destroying, money-making process
brought to you by our modern medical establishment.

And whether someone gets a regular tonsillectomy or gets
the "works" with T & A, their problems will continue.

If someone eats in a way that causes too much acid and
waste build up, its only a matter of time before
something else happens like lymphadema (fluid build-up and
swelling in the arms and legs) or tumors.

Plus, of course, there's the obvious digestive problems
that can follow as well--acid reflux, colitis,
diverticulitis, you-name-it.

That's why eating correctly combined, low acid meals like
I show you in Great Taste No Pain
- http://www.greattastenopain.com/great.asp is essential
for ALL of your body's systems.

All of our body's systems depend on the proper fuel to do
their job, and give us warning signs when something is not
right.

All illnesses are signs of disruption.

Don't ignore your body's warning signs, or mask them with
some chemical that makes more billions for big pharma, or
let a surgeon snip-snip away at your organs (and checkbook)
telling you they're "not necessary."

Eat the right way and your entire body will work perfectly-
-the way it was designed to.  Great Taste No Pain will show
you how.

PS:  Patti has enjoyed LOTS of great changes and gotten
off her medications:

*******************
Sherry,

I had severe pain for 24 hours, went to the doctor and was
diagnosed with diverticulitis.  I wasn't told anything
except don't eat heavy foods or alcohol for a few days.

I found your web site and tried your plan.  It was amazing
what happened.

I have had bloating and gas for most of my life - after a
few days I had none.

My energy came back, my knees stopped hurting and I lost
weight.

I was able to stop my blood pressure medicine and high
cholesterol medicine.  I am also off of my acid reflux
medicine due to your plan.

So, thank you for the wonderful recipes and helping me to
return to good health.

Patti
