The heart attack risk quiz

Every day I am asked my opinion on just about anything in
the world of health, from "miracle" pills to fad diets to
exercise, so it helps to know what people are seeing "out
there."

Recently I came across an article called "Are you at risk
for a heart attack?" and took their quiz for grins.

I know you're curious, so I'll tell you right now--
according to this quiz, my risk is less than 1%.

Wow--that's really good, right?

It might be.  It might not.

Actually, that quiz meant less than zero.

Here's why:

The quiz asked only this:  My gender, my age, whether or
not I'm a smoker, my blood pressure, whether or not I'm on
high blood pressure drugs and my cholesterol reading.

That's it.

It completely ignored the two MOST significant deciding
factors of cardiac health:  exercise and eating habits.

And people are being misled by answering these few brief
questions and thinking they're at low risk for a heart
attack...when the exact opposite might be the case.

Someone may eat garbage, not move a muscle, be on
cholesterol drugs and still be told they have a low risk
factor.

Yet they're a ticking time bomb in terms of true heart
health.

Now, nearly everyone has heard the term "heart attack,"
but many don't exactly know what it is.

Here's the short definition:

A heart attack (or myocardial infarction) occurs when
blood flow to an area of the heart muscle is blocked.

This lack of blood flow causes some of the heart tissue to
die...(and 1 out of 2 of the victims as well).

The most common cause for a heart attack is plaque build-
up inside the arteries going to the heart.

OK, biology lesson over.

Let's take a little closer look at the two dreaded "E"
words I brought up.

The 1st dreaded "E" word: Exercise
==================================

Regular exercise strengthens ALL the muscles of your body,
including that important one in your chest that pumps your
blood.

Exercise naturally lowers blood pressure and resting
pulse...this is because a stronger heart doesn't have to
work as hard to pump your blood.

It also cleanses you from the inside, eliminating toxic
wastes from your entire body.

Yet the quiz creators didn't care much about
that...because above and below the quiz results were ads
for a heart drug.

Neat, huh?

The 2nd dreaded "E" word:  Eating habits
========================================

No one thing has a more significant impact on whether your
heart tissue will live or die than what you do three times
a day--eat.

And the importance of eating to keep your body alkaline is
so huge that it cannot be overstated.

Because the heart is one of the most alkaline-dependent
organs of the body.

Your heart pumps about 13,000 quarts of blood every single
day.  Yes, thirteen thousand quarts.  And if that blood is
overloaded with acid wastes (like most people's are who eat
a Standard American diet), that puts a tremendous strain on
your heart.

Plus the wastes rob your blood of proper oxygen, and
wasting of the heart follows.

Translation: A heart attack waiting to happen.

And big Pharma likes to call this a "disease" so that it
can be treated with their drugs.

That's like saying a car that hit a tree got a disease
that crumpled up it's front fender.

See the parallel there?

Both the heart attack and the crushed front fender can be
traced back to an event or series of events.

Plus eating an abundance of alkaline-producing foods and
eating low-acid-creating food combinations helps keep your
arteries squeaky clean and prevents plaque build-up.

Less plaque means less chance of a blockage to your heart,
brain or anywhere else in your body.

That's why it's so important to eat according to the
principles I teach in Great Taste No Pain.

You can't escape the effects of a high acid, low water
content diet.  It's Russian Roulette--and sooner or later
the outcome is going to be bad.

Take care of your ticker and it will take care of you for
many, many years to come.

PS:  Diane is happily off Nexium with GTNP:

*******************

Hi Sherry,

I suffered with horrible pain as you did for 32 years -
supposedly from IBS.

Two years ago, I developed GERD, had an endoscopy and was
placed on Nexium.

When I asked the Endocrinologist what I could eat, he
said - “No tomato sauce, spicy or fried foods."   My
colonoscopy also revealed recent diverticulitis.

I too, always thought I ate a healthy diet.  Lots of
salads, fruit and very little meat.  I wanted to be HEALED!!

When I saw your Pain-Free in 1 Day plan, I knew it was
worth a try and downloaded it.  Fortunately, I like all of
the foods you had listed so it was a breeze for me.

After eating Marinara sauce, garlic and broccoli and
having no pain - I was sold.  I also stopped the Nexium.

I ordered your complete system and cannot wait to read it.

I used to live in Central New York, so I feel like I am
relating to a friend.

Thanks for just being YOU!!

Diane
