The subject of today's email is extremely important, so be
sure to read it all.
It's centered around an email I received from a client
(Brandon), but there are some very important points in it
for everyone:
*******************
Sherry,
Well, I have a success story that is still being written.
Long story somewhat short, a little over a year ago I was
bitten by a tick and became ill. After visiting my primary
care physician (PCP), he gave me a short term dose of
antibiotics without ever diagnosing what the illness was.
The medicine worked in the short term; however, I began
having issues once again especially with my digestive
system and nervous system. After multiple trips back to my
PCP I got no answers--just reasoning like: you're just
stressed from work, depressed, and it's all in your head.
I refused to accept that diagnosis because I knew my body
was telling me something was wrong. So, I found a doctor
that was knowledgeable in tick born diseases. After a few
blood tests, it was confirmed that I had Lyme's disease.
There is little information that's truly widely accepted
in the medical community regarding this type of deceptive
bacterial infection. In short, to clear the infection,
your body has be brought back to tip-top efficiency in the
immune system to kick the infection that is stealthy to the
body's immune system.
To get the body to that point, it is crucial to have your
digestive system running smoothly and cleanly. One of the
ways through the doctor's advice (and through your Great
Taste No Pain program) is to be on a diet that is
alkalizing to the body. To aid in this is, as well, I use
a daily dose of probiotics to help the digestive system
maintain its efficiency especially while on antibiotics.
I've been on the road to recovery for just over two months
now, but I have to be on antibiotics to aid in the recovery
(given the stubbornness of the infection).
I've noticed dramatic improvements in my recovery process
through my diet and use of probiotics. I look forward to
the finish line in the future and will continue on this
type of eating throughout my life.
It's truly important that people become aware of what they
are putting into their bodies and the effects that it can
have down the road when your body's defenses are needed to
possibly save your life!
Thank you for all that you do, and spreading the word that
your body can heal itself!
Brandon

SB: Brandon, I'm so glad that you got to the bottom of
your health issues. Thank goodness you didn't just roll
over and accept the "stress" or "all in your head"
diagnosis. Imagine where you would be now if you did that!
All my best to you.

Brandon's message raises two very important points that I
don't want you to miss:
1) Lyme disease has a wide variety of vague, hard to
diagnose symptoms including:
* A circular rash called erythema migrans or EM
* Fatigue
* Chills and/or fever
* Headaches
* Muscle and joint aches
* Swollen lymph nodes
If left untreated, the infection can spread to other parts
of your body within a few days to weeks, producing more
symptoms like: Loss of muscle tone on one or both sides of
your face (called facial or "Bell's palsy"), severe
headaches and neck stiffness, shooting pains that can
interfere with sleep, heart palpitations, dizziness due to
changes in heartbeat, and pain that moves from joint to
joint.
If you or someone you know has these symptoms and are
being told it's stress, depression or all in your head, get
another doctor immediately like Brandon did.
2) Even under the extreme challenge of something as
devastating as Lyme disease, your body can heal itself as
long as you are alkaline and have a strong immune system.
Most every sickness and disease known to man is caused or
worsened by acidity in the body. Your body is meant to be
alkaline by design, so when you're acidic, your body begins
to break down. Inflammation pops up all over. Aches and
pains start. You put on weight and are fatigued. And
eventually disease strikes.
But when you're alkaline, your body can work like it
should. You feel energized. You have regular bowel
movements. Aches and pains subside. And most importantly,
you're far less susceptible to any major disease like
cancer, fibromyalgia, heart disease and arthritis.
Great Taste No Pain teaches you the few simple principles
of eating for an alkaline pH. It's easy. The food is
delicious. You'll love it and so will your body.

And remember your immune system:
80% of your immune system is in your gut--in the form of
the trillions of friendly microflora that live there.
That is where most of your immunity to illness originates.
It's important to eat in the way that nourishes your
friendly bacteria, but many other factors can throw off
your microflora balance (like stress, environmental toxins,
lack of sleep and medications).
Super Shield probiotic formula gives your immune system
the boost it needs everyday. It's cultures are ready to
set up house in your intestines, keeping your body's immune
system strong and able to fight off pathogens (including
Lyme disease).
