The focus today is something that the mere thought of will
make most people wince or squirm.
A urinary tract infection.
Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are the second most common
type of infection in humans, and are the reason for over 8
million visits to doctors each year.
They're more common in women than men, but are living hell
for both. When you have a UTI, you get a constant urge to
urinate, and when you do try to go, only a few drops come
out and they burn like a blow torch, just like what Tom
Hanks' character in The Green Mile suffered with until John
Coffey cured the infection.
You also might feel shaky, run a fever and have
uncomfortable pressure in the pubic bone or rectal area.
In some cases you'll see a milky color or blood in your
urine.
UTIs are usually caused by bacteria in the stool that make
their way through the ureter and into the bladder. (This
can happen when women wipe "back to front" instead of
"front to back" after a bowel movement.)
Other causes or risk factors for UTIs are sexual
intercourse, having many different sexual partners, waiting
too long to urinate, urinary incontinence, diabetes,
pregnancy and low estrogen levels (as in menopause).
UTIs are usually treated with antibiotics. While they do
kill the initial infection, they also cause a snowball
effect of trouble down the road.
Here's what I mean:
Antibiotics are like Terminators--they're killing machines
that kill both bad infection-causing bacteria AND good
bacteria.
That means you might get rid of the infection at first,
but at the same time your population of good bacteria is
obliterated. Without that army of good bacteria to fight
for you, that leaves you open for...ANOTHER infection to
occur.
This is exactly what happens with many women. They get a
UTI, are given antibiotics, then they develop a yeast
infection. Then the doctor gives them antibiotics for the
yeast infection and they develop another UTI.
This vicious cycle can continue for weeks, months or in
some cases, even years!
In addition to practicing good hygiene and safe sex, the
best way to prevent the risk of chronic UTIs is to keep
your population of good bacteria strong with Super Shield
probiotic formula.

Super Shield contains the powerhouse strains Lactobacillus
rhamnosus GG, lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1 and
lactobacillus casei Shirota, all of which have been shown
in studies to be helpful in treating and preventing urinary
tract infections.
In addition, for women who are suffering from the
UTI/yeast infection cycle I mentioned above, the contents
of a Super Shield capsule can be mixed with warm water and
used as a douche. This will introduce an army of
beneficial bacteria to zero in right where they need to be.
This can be done daily until the symptoms disappear.
If you are prone to UTIs (or want to do all you can to
PREVENT them), one Super Shield per day is all you need.
PS: Infection prevention means eating right too. An acid-
forming diet can quickly destroy your population of good
bacteria. Learn how to feed the friendly microbes in your
body with Great Taste No Pain.

Hi Sherry,
It is now about 6 months since I bought your book, Great
Taste No Pain, and about a month and a half since I have
been on the Super Shield.
I am 61 years old and had a painful bout of gastritis 7
months ago. I am in good physical condition and take care
of myself, but my gut was out of control.
Your book helped me on my way to recovery and the Super
Shield "sealed" the deal. My digestive system is so on
track now, that if I cheat and eat something I shouldn't
(which is NOT often), I feel very minimal effects from it.
I no longer get bloated and feel better than I have in 10
years. I love reading your newsletters-they are so
informative. YOU KNOW what you are talking about!!
