Allan avoided diverticulitis surgery

This is a continuation of yesterday's email topic about
how the majority of the medical community refuses to
acknowledge how diet impacts your state of health...

And more importantly, how quick they can be to schedule
surgery without exploring alternatives.

Allan is a 72 year-old man who had colon inflammation due
to diverticulitis.  It was so SWOLLEN, the doctors couldn't
even do a colonoscopy!  He had surgery scheduled for August
28th of this year.

But...it never happened.

Here's his story:

*******************

Dear Sherry:

I'm now 72 years old.  Until February of this year I did
not have any intestinal problems that I was aware of, but I
know now that my eating habits were terrible.

The first week of March I had my first bout with
diverticulitis and spent 9 days in the hospital.  I was
given antibiotics and broth- well, you know the story.

Once back in circulation, I did very well and used to take
yoghurt to put some good bacteria back into my system.

But three months later, I started having bad symptoms--
constipation, pain, several poor bowel movements a day,
lack of appetite, etc.  A colonoscopy was attempted, but
the instrument could not fit through a smaller passage in
the colon caused by inflammation. An ultrasound confirmed
the colon inflammation.

After trekking to a specialist in cutting the colon in
early August, a surgery date was arranged for August 28th.

A couple of weeks previous to the surgery I started to use
your diet recommendations and bought probiotics.  Almost
immediately, my energy and stamina went up, I was pain free
and a few days later my bowel movements went to normal.
The inflammation went down.

As you can imagine, the surgery was suspended and I hope I
will never be in this situation again.

This miracle can be, dear Sherry, assigned to you.  Thanks
with all my heart.

Imagine how many people that have been in Allan's shoes
and have dutifully gone through with surgery, not knowing
that there were ANY alternatives.

If Allan was able to avoid surgery by eating a more
alkaline diet, there are tens of thousands of others who
could be spared that misery, expense, and ongoing
suffering, too.

Now, there are a few important points about Allan's story
that I don't want you to miss:

1- He says he never had digestive problems until age 72

The actual truth is that he didn't have any SYMPTOMS...so
he didn't know there was anything wrong.

Diverticulitis comes from diverticulosis, which is the
formation of bulges or sacs in the colon wall due to
incomplete digestion caused by a low fiber, acid-forming
diet.

Diverticulosis frequently has no symptoms at all.  That
is, until one or many of those little bulges becomes
infected and inflamed.  Then it's called diverticulitis and
you have pain unlike any you've EVER imagined...it brings
you to your knees, where you'll pray for a fast and
merciful end.

2- Allan did take an important step in trying to get more
good bacteria into his system, but that wasn't enough.

It's very important to have a proper intestinal flora
balance, but if your diet doesn't support that (in other
words, if you eat an acid-creating diet that feeds the bad
bacteria in your gut and starves out the good), you're
completely undoing any benefit you might get from putting
probiotics into your system.

So even though Allan may have been on the right track
initially by eating some yoghurt, it didn't counteract the
harmful effects of his diet.

3- In addition to having normal bowel movements and
reduced inflammation in his colon, his energy and stamina
went up after following my advice, which you can get at:

That's because his system was no longer working overtime
trying to digest his foods.

You see, nothing the human body does demands more energy
than digestion.  Not exercise, not sekks, nothing.

So when you eat foods and food combinations that are
difficult for your system to digest, your body saps all
your energy to accomplish this enormous task...and you end
up feeling sluggish or downright exhausted.

But when your foods are digested easily with a minimal
amount of acid, that leaves your body with a LOT more
energy and stamina available for you to do everything else.

PS:  Barbara's osteoarthritis has improved in just 1 week:

*******************

Hi Sherry,

I just received your books in the mail yesterday, but over
the past week I had already been making changes in my diet
from reading information in your newsletters.

I wanted to try your plan in hopes that it would help the
osteoarthritis in my fingers.  One in particular was giving
me trouble - the middle finger on my right hand.  The
middle joint of that finger had become swollen and the
finger had begun to curve inward.

I am so pleased to report that the swelling has gone down
and the finger has straightened up!  What we eat and how we
combine the food does indeed make a difference in our
entire body.  Thanks so much for your GTNP!
