Lately the hot topic of conversation has been, "So, have
you gotten your flu shot yet?"
Many people in the US (and the rest of the world) have
been in a panic about the H1N1 pandemic. It certainly is a
concern, but it's important to know the facts and not just
get consumed with worry.
Unfortunately, the media is not giving you the complete
story, so here are some facts you might not be aware of:
The virus should be hitting its peak in the next 2 weeks
or so if it hasn't already.
According to the World Health Organization, as of October
25, 2009, worldwide there have been more than 440,000
laboratory confirmed cases of H1N1 flu and over 5,700
deaths reported to WHO.
The World Health Organization also points out that the
actual case count is probably much higher, but many
countries stopped reporting milder cases.
What most people don't realize is that the H1N1 influenza
has NOT been associated with any more deaths than any other
seasonal flu strains that have circulated in the past few
decades. In other words, it's been no worse in terms of
death than any other flu you can remember from the past 10,
20 or 30 years.
Plus some of the deaths reported were cases where there
was also a co-occurring bacterial infection called
staphylococcus aureus. The flu causes upper respiratory
damage, which allows the staph infection to make its way
into the lungs. So the swine flu was not the sole cause of
death for many, yet is being cited as such.
Most authorities agree that the H1N1 virus is very mild.
The vast majority of people (99%) have just a very brief
and mild illness when they contact the virus.
And the most important point of all: Most of the people
who have died from H1N1 had underlying health problems
BEFORE they were infected. They weren't the picture of
health to begin with--their bodies were already taxed by
dealing with other health challenges and the additional
strain of the H1N1 flu was too much for them to handle.
Now, one of the big questions people have is: To vaccinate
or not to vaccinate?
Well, that's an individual decision, but here are some
facts about the H1N1 vaccination:
1- It is estimated that the actual reduction in swine flu
because of the vaccines will be only 6%.
2- People are also dying and suffering life-altering
disabilities shortly after receiving the flu vaccine,
whether it be the seasonal or the H1N1 vaccine.
3- Injectable H1N1 and seasonal flu vaccines contain
mercury. Mercury is one of the most toxic poisons
Mercury in vaccinations has long been suspected in having
a role in the occurrence of autism. In addition, long-term
exposure to mercury can cause shakiness, headaches, trouble
sleeping, personality change, memory loss, irritability,
indecisiveness and loss of intelligence.
4- Getting the vaccination is no guarantee that you won't
get the H1N1 flu!
Whether or not you choose to vaccinate, your first and
best defense against H1N1 flu and any other viruses or
bacterial infections is:
A strong immune system.
Here are three ways to help make sure your immune system
is in tip-top shape:
1) Eat healthy foods and minimize acidity in your system
In the Great Taste No Pain manuals, you'll see how simple
the principles are to follow to accomplish this, plus the
food is some of the most delicious you've ever eaten--no
daily rations of just rabbit food with this way of eating!

2) Get adequate rest
Nothing runs down your immune system faster than not
getting enough sleep. TIVO those World Series games if you
must and get some sleep.
3) Take Super Shield probiotic formula every day

powerful research-grade probiotic bacteria. These little
powerhouses go to work immediately in your gut, beefing up
your population of beneficial, disease-fighting bacteria,
strengthening your gut wall and crowding out the bad
Remember, 80% of your immune system is in your gut--so let

H1N1 or any other virus that comes your way.
