Life is funny, but not always just. Because when you
do something you KNOW you're not supposed to do and pay
the price, it's not fun, yet deep down you know you
brought it on yourself.
But when you do what you think is RIGHT and STILL suffer
consequences, then it's downright maddening.
I mean, if you eat junk food and drink soda everyday, you
KNOW your stomach is going to revolt and your backside is
going to be as wide as a tractor trailer.
And you have no one to blame but yourself. (Or maybe
Mickey D's if you have the same mindset as the woman who
blamed them when she spilled their hot coffee on her legs
while driving and got 2nd degree burns. :-)
But if you eat what you think is a good diet and still
suffer with digestive problems, it can be frustrating and
leave you feeling hopeless.
That's how Mel felt.
She suffered with constipation-predominant IBS for 10
years, even though she ate a lot of fiber.
Plus she was so bloated she needed to wear maternity pants!
But she got the answer to her prayers when she learned
that she just needed the slightest adjustment to what she
was eating.
Here's her story:
*******************
Hi Sherry,
Since my early twenties I have battled with IBS-C
(constipation-predominant irritable bowel syndrome). I am
32 now, so it's been about 10 years.
All of my doctors have told me, "Just take this (drug) and
things will move along fine." I have refused to take any
meds. I do not want to be on a medicine regime or be
dependent on drugs.
So I have struggled with day to day battles with
constipation, bloating and gas. Once and awhile I would
have diarrhea and almost be thankful for those days. (Sad
existence.)
About a week and a half ago, I had hit a low point and
decided I was done dealing with being miserable every
single day. My stomach had ballooned to the point I was
wearing maternity pants. (I haven't worn those in over 5
years.)
My stomach was huge. It had been days since I had gone to
the bathroom. I tried to increase my fiber intake and all
it caused was major gas.
My daughter asked me if I was going to have a baby!!
I had read the success stories and thought to myself, I am
eating fiber, but how interesting if it is the combination
of the food I was eating. I thought, well, it's a free
download, I might as well give it a shot.
After the first day, my husband said to me, "Hey, you
almost got your figure back!" I was thrilled to start
feeling better. (It's true too! I had gained around 12
pounds.)
After the 4th day, I had dropped back down to my original
weight of 136.5. I realized God had answered my prayers.
I have already ordered your whole system, Great Taste No
Pain. I can not wait to receive the books.
I never thought I would feel like this again. I honestly
had forgotten what it felt like to 'be normal.' Thanks to
you and all of your research and work, I am excited to
start a new life. I am thrilled my family will eat better
as well.
You are doing a wonderful thing, Sherry. Again, thank you
so much!
Sincerely,
Mel B.

SB: Mel, you're welcome. As a former IBS sufferer, I
KNOW the hell you went through. I've enjoyed the last 18
years symptom- and medication-free eating this way, so you
can too. You're on your way!

Just like Mel, you could be doing what you think is right
and still suffering from IBS, constipation or many other
digestive problems.
The key to pain-free, efficient digestion lies in the
foods you eat together. Because when you eat foods
together that are not digested well in the stomach
together, you will have pain...no matter how seemingly
"good for you" those foods are.
Learn the few simple principles you need to know to make
sure ALL of your meals and snacks are delicious, low acid
and easily digested.
I can teach you... if you'll let me.
All you need to do is follow the simple advice I spell out
in the Great Taste No Pain manuals. I spell out exactly
what to, how to do it, and even give you 112 of my most
mouth-watering, gourmet-tasting recipes.
PS: Here's another great story from a former
constipation/IBS sufferer:
*******************
Dear Sherry,
About a year ago I ended up in the ER with impacted
bowels. I thought I was having appendicitis. I was given
laxatives and stool softeners. I took the laxatives twice
a day as prescribed for 5 days and on the fifth day, my
electrolytes got so messed up, I almost had to go back to
the ER.
I tried a sports drink and it brought me back in balance
enough to avoid the hospital again, but it taught me:
doctors don't have the answers to my ongoing problems with
constipation.
I was diagnosed about 15 years ago with IBS, and have had
bouts of constipation all my adult life (I'm 57). I don't
like to take any kind of medication but had been taking the
stool softeners since the ER visit with some success. I
would also take the mildest laxative I could find when I
would get backed up.
Well, I was still feeling awful--bloated, achy, and like I
have a band around my waist that keeps getting tighter and
tighter.
Like you, I have always tried to eat right. Lots of
veggies and fruit, low fat, very little red meat and whole
grains. I've tried to add fiber to everything, but was
still having problems staying regular.
I think the combinations have been most of the problem for
me. I started following your plan and have had wonderful
results! I stopped the stool softeners and laxatives for
the first time in a year. It took 3 days to have a regular
BM, it was the biggest BM I've ever had, and I feel so much
better!
Another huge benefit has been that the aches and pains I
have had for some time have lessened a lot!
I had read about this before but was confused about how to
do it. You have made it very easy to understand.
I feel like I have just started to get my life back! I
feel like I can start exercising again because I will have
the energy to do it.
Thank you SO much for this plan! It is truly a great
service you are doing.
