When I was little my mother used to say I had a "nervous
stomach."
I had frequent stomach aches which I learned to keep quiet
about, or else the enemas would come out.
I was finally told I had IBS at age 28. After 7 days in
the hospital and a ton of tests, all my doctor offered was
pills that made me tired. They didn't do a thing for my
symptoms. I felt hopeless.
That is, until I finally learned what to eat, when to eat
it and what to eat with what. Stress went way down.
And life became much sweeter as a result.
I'm now in my 18th year completely free of IBS. I shudder
to think where I'd be if I just took the pills every day,
and I suspect I'd be a great candidate for colon cancer.
Emily too suffered a lifetime of IBS, going from one
doctor to the next and getting nowhere.
But now she's loving life, free of ALL her symptoms.
Here's her remarkable story:
*******************
Dear Sherry,
My name is Emily H. and I am a 24 year old Commercial Real
Estate Agent in Beverly Hills, CA.
From what seems like birth to me (but probably was more
like adolescence) I've had a long list of digestive and
stomach problems that I've been actively trying to resolve
for years now.
I grew up in the midwest so my parents are not the most
opened minded people. So for years, I was told that I was
just a nervous person or that there was nothing wrong with
my stomach.
When I moved out to CA for college in 2004, my eyes were
opened to a whole new world of health in which people
actually read labels and were concerned about where their
meat was coming from. Finally I thought, "This is it.
This is where I can find a doctor who can help me once and
for all."
And I was so wrong.
I started seeing an alternative medicine practitioner who
put me on this strict "cleansing" diet that came along with
a suitcase full (almost literally) of supplements that I
had to take throughout the day.
I did everything by the book and six weeks later, my
digestive and stomach issues seemed to improve, but were
nowhere near resolved. Once I started re-introducing other
foods back in, all the "successes" from the diet were lost.
I moved on to a western doctor who diagnosed me with IBS
and put me on a prescription that I took daily. This did
improve my digestive issues, but created another laundry
list of even more annoying symptoms that I simply could not
handle.
At that point, I gave in to my stomach. I allowed myself
not to worry about it and went on with my daily college
life. Of course, the drinking and late night food binges
didn't help, but I figured nothing else would anyway so who
cares.
Then, in my last year of college I spent a semester abroad
in Italy and learned what it was like to have a normal
digestive system. I was there for nearly 6 months and
never had even one day with stomach cramping, diarrhea,
gas, bloating, or even discomfort!
It truly was amazing. I associated it with (and still did
up until a few weeks ago) a low stress load and higher
quality foods.
Of course when I got back last January, my stomach
problems came back with a vengeance, worse than they had
been before.
I was beside myself both mentally and physically AND I was
graduating and starting my new career. This created a
massive surge of stress which only contributed to the
worsening of my condition. It was then that I made a
promise to myself to resolve it.
Since then, I have seen many, many doctors and just
recently in December of 2009, I found an alternative
medicine clinic who was willing to work with my western
doctor and run some unique tests.
For the first time in my 24 years of life with a
horrendous stomach history, the doctors ordered a yeast
test. And, Sherry, I'm sure you've guessed it already. My
yeast titers were off the charts. I've had yeast
overgrowth for months, maybe even years!
Unfortunately, this only solved some of my problems. I
was immediately given an anti-fungal for the yeast, which
did help a great deal. But, I was still plagued with
digestive pains, excessive gas and constant bloating that
made me appear 20 pounds heavier on any given day.
About 3 weeks ago, I came in to the office and was talking
about all this with a colleague who immediately mentioned
Sherry Brescia and her Great Taste No Pain plan.
I went to the website
- http://www.greattastenopain.com/great.asp
and was astonished to find out that, although I eat super
healthy, I could still be worsening my condition just by
what I eat together. Almost every dish that I ate
contained a poor food combination!
Since I began using your Great Taste No Pain plan, I have
been gas and bloating free! It truly is amazing.
All I've had to do is separate certain foods that I really
love and eat them at different times. I still get to eat
what I want but I just have to allow the necessary
digestive time.
Now I know why I was feeling so much better in Italy. The
lifestyle in Italy accommodates natural, healthy digestion,
combined with the high standard of food quality (i.e.
little to no processed foods and no fast foods) you
literally get digestive harmony.
Now, not only am I eating healthy, but I'm digesting
healthy and comfortably. It is such a relief to not get
all anxious and uncomfortable.
I don't have to be afraid when I sit down to eat and am
actually more relaxed throughout the day. I have more
energy, am able to focus better, and am not lying awake at
night wondering if I'm going to be plagued with stomach
problems for the rest of my life!
If only I had heard about this years ago, I could have
saved myself a ton of money and time and would have already
been much healthier!
Thank You Sherry!
Emily H.

SB: Emily, you're welcome. Your story sounds so much
like mine that I had to share it with everyone. All my
best to you.

Emily's story raises a good point:
Due to the typical Western diet loaded with processed
foods, refined carbohydrates and sugar, many people have
yeast overgrowth in their system and don't even know it.
Most doctors don't even think to test for it.
And while yeast overgrowth can cause digestive problems
(along with fungal infections in your skin and nails), it's
typically not the sole cause of IBS symptoms.
The main culprit is poor digestion resulting from
combining foods that don't digest properly together in your
stomach.
When your meals are not digested as they should be, you're
practically guaranteed to have gas, bloating, alternating
constipation and diarrhea...and misery.
It's not rocket science--it's simple common sense.
But the great thing is that, even though you may have been
eating mis-combinations of foods for years or decades, once
you stop, your body will respond almost instantly.
Many of our clients use the phrase "It's a miracle." It's
that fast.
If you have IBS and have been told there's nothing you can
do except take pills or avoid certain foods, it's time for
your "awakening."
I challenge you to follow my advice in the Great Taste No
Pain system and see how quickly YOU can start to feel better.
Imagine...no more gas. A nice flat un-bloated stomach.
Easy, regular bowel movements. No more "attacks." And no
more pills with their side effects.
PS: Probiotics also play an important role in enhancing
your digestion and preventing yeast overgrowth. Super
Shield probiotic formula can help you balance your
intestinal flora and keep your harmful bacteria and yeast
