Studies: Probiotics Alleviate Allergies

Recently I was having Thai food with a business associate
and noticed she requested no eggs with her noodle dish.

After ordering she commented, "I used to love eggs, but
boy, they don't love me.  I get violently ill from them."

I wasn't surprised.  Since 1 out of 3 people in the US
report having some kind of food allergy or intolerance,
it's a pretty common problem.

Simply put, food allergies are when your immune system
sees a harmless food as a dangerous pathogen or invader.
As a result, your body reacts by releasing the hormone
histamine.  This causes itchy skin or swelling in the lips,
mouth, tongue and throat.

Other allergic reactions can include a runny nose,
shortness of breath, hives, flushing, dizziness, vomiting
or diarrhea.

A much less common--but far more dangerous--reaction is
anaphylaxis.  This is when your body releases a HUGE amount
of histamine after an "offending" food is eaten.

It causes blood vessels to dilate, blood pressure to drop
and body tissues to swell.  If there is too much swelling
in the nose and throat, the air supply can be cut off and
death can result.

People at risk for anaphylaxis are advised to carry a
hypodermic needle that allows them to quickly inject
themselves with adrenaline to reverse the life-threatening
reaction.

Most food allergies fall into these categories:

- Milk
- Eggs
- Wheat
- Soy
- Peanuts
- Nuts that grow on trees (almonds, cashews, pecans, etc.)
- Fish
- Shellfish

Food allergies are typically treated by avoidance-- to
find out what bothers you and stay FAR away from it.

However, this means that people have to go without foods
they love.  Plus there's always the threat that the
offending food might unknowingly or accidentally be eaten.
This happens to people all the time.

But here's some great news:

A better way to treat food allergies is emerging.

Research has shown that probiotic supplements can
significantly reduce allergic reactions to foods.

One study was conducted at Seoul National University in
South Korea and published in 2005 in the Federation of
European Microbiological Societies' Immunology and Medical
Microbiology journal.

The researchers tested two groups of mice that were
allergic to egg white.  Half of the mice were given
Bifidobacterium bifidum and Lactobacillus casei every day
for 5 weeks and the other half received none.

After the 5 weeks, all of the mice were given egg white.
Those treated with probiotics had significantly fewer
allergic reactions, measured by how much histamine they
produced.

Human trials have also been conducted that show great
promise.

In one of the studies published in the Journal of Allergy
and Clinical Immunology, researchers from Finland studied
27 babies who were allergic to cow's milk.  For one month,
cow's milk was removed from their diets and 13 of them were
given Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG.  The other 14 were given
no probiotics.

After one month, all of the babies were given cow's milk
again.  Those who had the L. rhamnosus showed significantly
less reactions to the milk than the babies who received no
probiotics.

This is great news for food allergy sufferers...and it's
one of the reasons that Bifidobacterium bifidum,
Lactobacillus casei and Lactobacillus rhamnosus where
included in the pharmaceutical-grade probiotic, Super Shield.

Each and every bacteria in Super Shield was carefully
considered and hand-picked for potency and effectiveness in
benefitting the body in a variety of ways.

And you don't even need to take my word for it.  Yvelise's
grandson is already showing signs of improvement from food
allergies after just one bottle of Super Shield:

Dear Customer Support,

My daughter (a PhD in Molecular Plant Genetics), who has
tried just about all types of treatment with her four year
old son (who is mainly allergic to cow milk protein and egg
whites), is observing a positive reaction with the first 90
capsules of Super Shield her son has taken.  She is
noticing diminishing colds, nose and lungs irritation in
him.

He just drinks the contents of one capsule dissolved in
his morning cup of warm soy milk.

We will keep in touch to let you know my grandson's health
progress.

Also, quite a few of my friends and colleagues have shown
interest in Super Shield and I will gladly pass on the
necessary information to them.

Warm regards,
Yvelise M.

To your health,

PS:  Super Shield has also helped clear Ellah's grandson's
acid reflux::

Sherry:

I give my 17 month old grandson Super Shield, per your
advice as he used to have acid reflux, which I'm glad to
say is now cured!

I just pour the Super Shield in his mouth (he thinks it's
a game) and give him water to swallow.  I figure even if it
is just once in a while (since he doesn't live with me), it
will still be beneficial for him in the long run.  (My
daughter unfortunately does not believe in probiotics and
will not do it if I don't!)

I appreciate all your research and I have recommended
Super Shield to my sister and colleagues (3 of them now
take it, too).

My son and partner both take it as well... I "bullied"
them at first but they felt the benefit it is doing them so
they take it on their own accord now!  LOL!

Oh, I also recommended it to my acupuncturist who will
recommend it to her patients!

Thank you again for all your good work!  God bless you and
your family!

Cheers,

Ellah
