When they hear the word "diverticulitis" the average
person isn't quite sure what that is.
Unless they get it, of course. Then there's NO mistaking
what it is. It is excruciatingly painful. In some cases,
it is fatal. But if you survive it, you're a great
candidate for losing some or all of your colon and getting
a "bag" to catch your wastes.
Good news, though...it's also 100% preventable and
controllable.
No, it's not the death sentence that people believe it is.
You just need to know what to do.
Here's what I mean:
Interesting thing is, diverticulosis (and diverticulitis)
were basically unheard of 100 years ago. That's before
processed foods (aka "convenience through chemistry") were
introduced... the kinds that can sit on the shelf for many
months. Because they are not alive any more.
Back then, our meals were simpler and featured real, fresh
foods--not packaged chemical creations, and not a
smorgasbord of every imaginable food group in each and
every meal.
Methinks we should take a lesson from the past.
Simple common sense.
Here's a story from an unsuspecting lady who was hit with
diverticulitis out of the blue. Lucky for her she learned
early on what to do, and now is feeling GREAT:

Hi Sherry:
Here's my story:
I recently had a severe bout with diverticulitus. I had
never even heard of it! It is a very serious, life-
threatening illness.
Both my doctors left me hanging as to what to eat or not
eat to prevent this from happening. In fact, they each
said the opposite!
Once in a while, I stray from the best way of eating, and
I can tell right away. But in no time, I can be right back
on track.
I love the fact that when I eat correctly, I am not
hungry, have more energy, and feel great. I believe eating
the right way also gives me a clearer mind and my thinking
is not cloudy.
Thank you Sherry.
