It's been said by many health experts that both health and
illness begins in the colon.
I would agree.
Because if you currently have any kind of illness or life-
threatening disease, it most likely originated in your gut,
since that's where 80% of your immune system is.
Unfortunately, over the past 50 years, processed food
manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies and the medical
community have launched a brutal attack on your immune
systems in two ways:
1- Increasing dependence on antibiotics
2- Radical changes to the foods available on store shelves
(most are now filled with various unnatural sugars, fats
and chemicals)
Together these changes produce massive populations of
harmful microbes in our intestines, while failing to
nourish our beneficial bacteria, slaughtering them in
droves.
This resulting imbalance of intestinal flora has had
disastrous effects on our immune systems and a devastating
impact on the health of people around the world.
Let's take a closer look at exactly how these 2 factors
have torn through our immune systems like a tornado over
the past half century:
========
Antibiotics
========
Antibiotics work by destroying the bacteria that are
causing an infection, like an ear infection, sinus
infection or bronchitis.
But antibiotics are dumb...
Because they can't tell the difference between bad
bacteria and good.
So not only do they destroy the harmful infection-causing
bacteria, but they also wipe out most of the beneficial
bacteria in your gut.
This is important.
Because once you've finished a course of antibiotics, your
beneficial gut microflora that were destroyed begin to grow
back. But they recover more slowly than other (unfriendly)
microbes. So the harmful bacteria end up having the "upper
hand" and can crowd out and destroy the good bacteria that
are trying to form and regenerate your immune system.
All because of antibiotics.
So with your immune system is still weak, you are more
susceptible to more and possibly worse infections.
That's why you see people (maybe even yourself) that keep
getting infection after infection, are on repeated courses
of stronger and stronger antibiotics, and never seem to get
any better.
==================
The Typical Western diet
==================
Whatever you eat, your gut microbes eat too. But
different types of bacteria have different food preferences.
Depending on your food choices, certain bacteria will
feast while others go hungry. So your diet is a HUGE
factor in controlling the microflora balance in your
intestines and thus your immune system.
The diets of most industrialized countries have changed
drastically over the last 50 years. On average, we now eat
at least one out of every three meals in some type of
restaurant, and even the meals we eat at home are
frequently not made from real food.
Instead we rely on packaged foods that have been processed
to death and are seriously lacking in fresh fruits,
vegetables and whole grains. Most are loaded with refined
starches, sugars and fats (with names that hide what they
really are).
This has caused obesity rates to skyrocket, type II
diabetes to soar and many a digestive woe.
But those aren't the only harmful effects.
Because harmful bacteria LOVE refined starchy
carbohydrates, sugar and fat, they gorge and multiply like
rabbits, while your beneficial bacteria (that are nourished
by fresh fruits, vegetables and whole grains) starve and
die.
This is a major cause of cancer.
You see, your friendly bacteria are the ones that break
down carcinogens (cancer-causing pathogens) in your food.
Without the good bacteria to surround and destroy them, the
carcinogens have a better chance of being absorbed into
your bloodstream.
This is why it's vitally important to maintain a gut flora
balance of at least 85% beneficial bacteria and no more
than 15% harmful. With 80% of your immune system residing
there, your life could literally depend on it.
The good news is it's easy to do.
First, the easiest and best way to balance out your gut
flora is to take a high quality multi-strain probiotic
formula like every day. The one we recommend, Super
Shield, has 13 potent medical-grade probiotic strains can
help you achieve the balance you need.
I don't know of any other formula that has as many
strains.
And second, to help keep your beneficial gut bacteria fed
and happy, follow my advice in the Great Taste No Pain
system.

The GTNP manual "How To End Stomach Pain Forever, Even If
Your MD Says, 'No Way!'" shows you exactly what to do and
why each step is so vital for your health.
Plus "What To Eat With What" helps you combine your foods
correctly, no matter where you are or what food is
available.
Do these two simple things and you'll soon start to
believe real quick that "LIFE begins in the colon."
You'll feel so good so fast, you'll never doubt it again.

PS: Lori doesn't have to live with the pain of IBS anymore:
*******************
Dear Sherry,
First of all, I want to thank you so very much for showing
us all we don't have to live in pain. :-)
I am 47 and was diagnosed with a nervous stomach in my
teen years. A few years ago I was diagnosed having IBS
with Chronic Constipation. (I have since learned from you
IBS is a warning sign from our body telling us to change
eating habits before we come down with something more
serious.)
I was suffering a flare up, and decided to surf the net in
hopes of finding an IBS website with recipes to calm the
very painful flare up. That's where I found a link to your
site.

I clicked on it and read every word. It made perfect
sense. I had already discovered from past experience how
homemade food helped a lot.
I downloaded the pain free in one day guide. I figured I
would try that first, and it worked from day one, so I
ordered the entire Great Taste No Pain program.
I don't have the IBS symptoms anymore. I have more
energy, instead of feeling sluggish all the time. I have
lost size instead of weight. (I would assume that's
because I don't have much weight that I need to lose.)
I also have recommended this program to others--that's how
excited I am to be feeling so much better.
Thank you Sherry for sharing this with us and making it so
easy to follow.
