Natural Cholesterol Terminators
It's incredible. We have alarm systems to protect our
cars and homes. We carry mace to ward off would-be
attackers and travel in groups at night for safety. There
are surveillance cameras on street corners, in stores and
in many buildings. On the internet we have 128 bit
encryption to protect our personal information.
But while cardiovascular disease (CVD) continues to be the
number one killer in the world, no one is policing,
ticketing, fining and throwing in jail the producers of the
products that are killing us in huge numbers.
It's because treating it makes big profits.
No disease? No treatment. And no profits.
In the US, CVD is responsible for 40 percent of all deaths
-- more than all forms of cancer combined.
Now that's big profits right there.
The longtime explanation of CVD and how it occurs has
pointed the finger at high cholesterol levels.
This has, of course, made billions for pharmaceutical
companies from their sales of statins, as well as lots of
cash for the food manufacturers for their "low cholesterol"
But studies have consistently shown that there's another
little-known yet emerging factor that contributes to heart
disease as well, and explains why people with normal
cholesterol still get CVD...
Narrowing of blood vessels often begins when the vessels
Here's how that happens:
Your arteries can be damaged from an injury, infection or
even from bad bacteria such as Streptococcus mutans (the
bacteria that causes tooth decay).
When this happens, your immune system senses something is
wrong with the artery and sends droves of white blood cells
to the area.
As part of their healing efforts, the white blood cells
create inflammation, and these inflamed areas pull
cholesterol from the blood...sort of like using glue to
repair a cracked dish.
This is one reason why cholesterol by itself is not as bad
as Big Pharma wants you to believe it is. It does have
some very valid purposes.
However, the problem arises when this cycle continues too
long. Then the cholesterol can begin to accumulate too
much in the inflamed area. Eventually the blood vessel
begins to narrow and can completely close.
And you're a candidate for heart attack or stroke again.
But here's some GOOD news in the midst of all this grim
Probiotics, something that is in your body naturally, can
help you reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease from
BOTH inflammation AND high cholesterol.
One more reason that probiotics have quickly become the
darlings of the supplement world.
Here's how probiotics do this:
Probiotics reduce inflammation
Probiotics support the development of regulatory T cells
in your immune system. These T cells help reduce
overzealous immune responses throughout your body.
What that can mean is smaller armies of white blood cells
being sent to a damaged artery, and therefore less
inflammation and less chance of accumulation of cholesterol
in the area.
Probiotics reduce blood cholesterol
Probiotics help reduce blood cholesterol in 3 different
1- Probiotics create acids that counter cholesterol
As probiotic bacteria digest fiber in your intestines,
they produce acids. One of the acids (called proprionic
acid) decreases production of cholesterol by the liver.
Less cholesterol produced by the liver means less to
accumulate in your veins.
2- Probiotics break down liver bile acids
Bile acids help your body digest fats, and your liver
manufactures these bile acids from cholesterol.
Usually your liver recycles bile acids and uses them over
and over. But probiotics break down bile acids, so your
liver has to make more...and so it uses up more cholesterol
in the process.
More cholesterol used by the liver to make bile acids
means less to flow through your bloodstream.
3- Probiotics eat cholesterol
Probiotic bacteria have been shown to break down
cholesterol and use it for nourishment. That's less to
build up and narrow your arteries.
The most important thing, however, to remember is just
like any other supplement found in retail stores, most
probiotics out there are junk. Cheap junk with beautiful,
expensive labels. Like spraying perfume on a pile of dung.
It might smell better, but it's still dung.
You can read about how studies have been done on this
"dung" phenomenon here:
Helping to minimize your risk of cardiovascular disease,
no matter what the cause, is a great reason to take Super
Shield, a pharmaceutical-grade probiotic formula daily.
One of Super Shield's medical-grade strains of bacteria,
Lactobacillus Acidophilus, is a terminator when it comes to
fighting cholesterol--it's a bacteria that eats cholesterol
like I mentioned above.
In addition, Super Shield's Lactobacillus rhamnosus and
Lactobacillus bulgaricus are also known for helping to
reduce and control cholesterol levels.
Plus ALL of Super Shield's 13 strains of research grade
bacteria help to strengthen your immune system (including
your regulatory T cells) and encourage it to act
appropriately--not overzealously--when it comes to
infection or artery damage.

PS: Omega-3 essential fatty acids are also a natural anti-
inflammatory, as well as help to naturally lower blood
pressure, lower LDL (bad) cholesterol and raise HDL (good)
cholesterol--all crucial for cardiovascular health. The
typical diet most people have is sorely lacking in these
essential nutrients. VitalMega-3 fish oil supplements can
help restore your level of omega-3 EFAs and keep your
cardiovascular system healthy. Learn more about VitalMega-
