Breakfast Foods You Should Never Eat

If right now you're feeling sluggish, have acid rising into your throat, are bloated and gassy, have a headache or just came out of the bathroom unable to "go" again, or feel full but STILL hungry  I have news for you.

Chances are excellent that it's because you're lacking food.

"What?" you say. "But I ate breakfast, Sherry -- I'm not 'lacking food.'"

Well, maybe you are.

If you ate what currently is a popular breakfast item, here is what is inside of you (listed from high to low according to amount). See if you can guess what it is:

- Corn syrup (sugar)
- Dextrose (more sugar)
- Strawberries (processed, not whole)
- Crackermeal
- Apples (processed, not whole)
- Wheat starch
- Partially hydrogenated soybean oil (a trans-fat)
- Citric acid
- Xanthan gum
- Red dye #40
- Enriched wheat flour
- (More) partially hydrogenated soybean oil
- (More) corn syrup
- Sugar
- Whey
- (More) Dextrose
- Salt
- Baking powder
- Baking soda
- Plus synthetic versions of these nutrients:
- Niacinamide
- Iron
- Vitamin A
- Vitamin B6
- Vitamin B2
- Vitamin B1
- Folic acid

Do you know what the "mystery food" is?

Give up?

Strawberry Pop-Tarts!

But they aren't the only breakfast junk foods to avoid...

The bottom line is this: If you eat these or other processed "non-foods," you are most assuredly LOADED with sugar and trans-fats. And that comes with a HEFTY price.

Here's why:

The saga of sugar overload

In addition to packing on the pounds, having excessive amounts of glucose in your blood stresses your pancreas because it has to operate in overdrive to keep up with your insulin needs.

Eventually it either can't keep up, or your cells start becoming resistant to the insulin...which is type II diabetes in the making.

And flooding your bloodstream with sugar causes the familiar "sugar rush then crash and burn" experienced by sugar-holics. If you find yourself getting a sugar high followed by sluggishness and fatigue, you are most certainly caught in this trap.

But wait--there's more!

Sugar is extremely acid-creating to your body, resulting in excess acid waste accumulation that it can't keep up with.

This puts your body in a state of acidity which stresses all of your organs, can cause inflammation from head to toe, ruins your digestion, makes you unable to effectively absorb nutrients and can make you a more attractive home for a whole slew of diseases.

The tale of trans-fats

If you eat trans-fats (from processed foods), I hope you have a good cardiologist in your area. Because you're going to need him/her...that is, if you survive the heart attack or stroke.

Trans-fats don't come from Nature -- instead they're created when food companies pump hydrogen into polyunsaturated oils to make them solid and prevent spoilage.

The resulting offspring of this process is called: hydrogenated or partially hydrogenated oils.

They're also created when polyunsaturated oils are used for cooking. That's why cooking with margarine is so dangerous.

Fast food restaurants are also notorious for frying with polyunsaturated oils--think about that next time you eat fries at McDonalds or Burger King.

Trans-fats are as good for your body as eating tar. And about as easy for your body to metabolize. Since they're not from Nature, your body doesn't have enzymes that break them down.

They're very sticky, they jam up your arteries and cling to your tissues like a leech.

That means atherosclerosis, inflammation, pain and increased risk of heart disease, heart attack and stroke.

Added vitamins?
