Four Inflammation Reducers

When I speak at seminars and conferences, people often approach me after my presentation to ask my advice about their health issues or pick my brain about the latest health or diet "fads."

But recently, one guy asked me a very insightful question that went WAY beyond how to help with acid reflux or what I thought of Jenny Craig.

He said to me:

"So many people are hurting these days and we have all these terrible diseases--what do you think is causing this and what can we do about it?"

My answer:

There are a number of factors that contribute to disease, but far and away the most predominant one in the US (and many other countries) is CHRONIC INFLAMMATION.

Here's why:

The different faces of inflammation

First and foremost, it's important to understand that ALL inflammation is not created equal.

Inflammation is your body's natural response to challenges like infections, injuries or insect bites. Inflammation is a sign that your body's "repairmen" (including your immune cells and cholesterol) have come to your rescue and are doing their job to "fix" the problem and get you back to normal.

Once the healing process is underway, inflammation naturally subsides.

But the problem arises when inflammation is NOT related to an isolated health challenge, but instead is caused by other factors and becomes constant and chronic.

That's when Dr. Jekyll becomes Mr. Hyde.

Chronic inflammation goes FAR beyond the simple healing of a wound and instead manifests itself as conditions like arthritis, atherosclerosis, fibromyalgia, migraines, myositis (muscle pain), accelerated aging, Type II diabetes, stroke and degenerative joint disease.

Why do SO many people have it?

Millions of people are walking around in a chronic state of inflammation and we have the disease statistics to prove it.

According to the CDC, 7 out of 10 deaths among Americans each year are from chronic diseases. Heart disease, cancer and stroke alone account for more than half of all deaths each year.

And it has been estimated that at least half of us have at least one chronic illness.

So the begging question is, what's going on? Why are SO many people suffering with chronic inflammatory conditions?

The answer is simple.

Because causes of chronic inflammation are ALL around us.

Chronic inflammation can be caused by things like environmental toxins and medications (both prescription and OTC).

But far and away the most common causes are:

1- Acid wastes from food and cell metabolism
2- Inappropriate immune responses
3- An Omega-3 essential fatty acid deficiency
4- Vitamin B6 deficiency

Here's the scoop on each and more importantly, what you can do about them to help keep chronic inflammation (and the resulting disease) FAR away from you:

1- Reduce acid wastes--the biggest reducer of inflammation

Acid waste buildup is the number ONE most widespread, significant cause of chronic inflammation.

Acid wastes are the natural by-product of digestion and cell metabolism. And when your body is working like it should, these wastes can be easily eliminated through your bowel movements, urine or sweat.

But the problem arises when your digestion is poor and your body can't effectively eliminate all of the acid wastes. Instead they accumulate in your gut and seep out into your bloodstream through the intestinal wall.

Once they're in your blood, they're more destructive than a bull in a china shop. They can travel EVERYWHERE and light fires of inflammation all along the way.

That's why inflammation can cause such a wide variety of problems like I mentioned above. Everywhere is fair game because your bloodstream goes everywhere.

Now, inefficient digestion (and acid waste accumulation) is mainly the result of eating foods that are inherently acid-creating (especially fast food and packaged foods) and hard to digest meal combinations.

But just as easily as you add to your acid waste buildup by eating the WRONG foods, you can turn it around VERY quickly by simply eating the RIGHT foods. The human body is amazing in that it can bounce back and overcome years and even DECADES of abuse and injury.

But you have to give it the proper inner environment for it to bounce back.

And that is precisely what following my advice in the Great Taste No Pain health system will help you achieve.

The Great Taste No Pain system is designed to help you cleanse your body internally which in turn helps reduce inflammation.

The GTNP manuals will spell out the few simple things you need to do to dramatically improve your digestion and help eliminate acid wastes, which means less inflammation.

2- Smarten your body's immune responses

Your immune system is always on alert, ready to pounce on a dangerous invader like an infection or pathogen and eliminate it before it causes you harm.

But unfortunately, sometimes it gets mixed up and instead attacks healthy tissues instead, leading to chronic inflammation.

These inappropriate actions by your immune system are a major contributing factor in painful autoimmune diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, colitis and Crohn's.

But what can help this problem immensely is the right probiotics.

Probiotics support the development of "regulatory T cells" in your immune system. These T cells act like a natural peace-keeper and can help reduce mixed-up immune responses and, as a result, help curb inflammation.

Super Shield multi-strain probiotic formula can help balance your intestinal flora and ensure that you have a strong army of beneficial bacteria (probiotics) in your system.   Super Shield's 13 strains of potent friendly bacteria can help encourage more "anti-inflammatory" T-cells to develop, which can make a big difference in your level of inflammation.

3- Get the proper ratio of Omega-6 to Omega-3 EFAs

A deficiency in Omega-3 essential fatty acids is a leading cause of inflammation.

Here's why:

Omega-6 and Omega-3 essential fatty acids works together in your body to help you deal with temporary challenges like wounds or injuries. Omega-6 EFAs stir up inflammation, which sounds the signal for the healing process to begin.

Once healing is underway, Omega-3 EFAs come in and calm everything down.

But the problem arises when you have too many inflammation-causing Omega-6 EFAs in your system, but not enough anti-inflammatory Omega-3s. Then you're practically putting out the welcome mat for chronic inflammation.

And since our typical modern diets are LOADED with Omega-6 EFAs and seriously lacking Omega-3 EFAs, most people have a serious imbalance going on...

And they've got the aches, pains and chronic inflammation to prove it!

So it's crucial to make sure your Omega-3 supply is what is should be with a pure pharmaceutical-grade fish oil supplement.

VitalMega-3 is a super-potent, pharmaceutical-grade fish oil formulation that delivers a full 1,000 mg. of the necessary EPA and DHA essential fatty acids in every daily 2-capsule serving.

Study after study continues to support pure, high-grade fish oil's capability to safely and naturally reduce inflammation, including relief from chronic conditions like arthritis and high blood pressure.

4- The newest factor-Vitamin B6 deficiency

A new study published in the Journal of Nutrition has shown a strong association between chronic inflammation and Vitamin B6 deficiency.

After studying 2,229 people the researchers found that those with the lowest levels of Vitamin B6 in their blood had the highest levels of chronic inflammation, based on a wide variety of indicators.

On the flip side, those with the MOST B6 circulating in the bloodstream were also the LEAST likely to have signs of inflammation.

Now, the good news here is that a shortage of Vitamin B6 can be VERY easy to address.

You just need to make sure you eat foods that are natural sources of B6 AND make sure your body's actually absorbing the B6 (and all your other nutrients too!).

And the Great Taste No Pain system can help there too!

Not only does Great Taste No Pain stress delicious ways to enjoy good-for-you foods that are natural sources of B6 (like lean meats, legumes and vegetables), but because you'll be encouraging better digestion, you'll also help enhance nutrient absorption too.

Chronic inflammation is arguably the single most significant contributing factor behind the majority of diseases (and deaths).

So it's essential to do all you can to fight this monster and help prevent it from taking its toll on you.

Help your body keep inflammation low naturally from within and you'll be taking giant steps toward a disease-free, pain-free life.

To your health,

Sherry Brescia

PS: Joanne sees a big difference in her inflammatory conditions:

Dear Sherry:

Since faithfully following Great Taste No Pain...I've seen light at the end of the tunnel of my health problems.

My muscular and bone disorders (fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis) have really improved, as well as my lower intestinal problems (swinging from diarrhea to constipation frequently, depending on what I'd eaten).

I began having arthritis problems in my 20's and am now 70 years old, so who would have thought diet and combining meals differently could influence that so drastically?!

Keep on helping all of us that had about given up hope of ever freeing ourselves from the pharmaceutical slavery!

God bless you!

Joanne J.
